I felt like a creep lurking around the house looking for my mate, but this was what I had been reduced to. My mother had been in Winter Valley for a week and she barely let Isabella out of her sight. It was great that she was so excited about becoming a grandmother. Nothing made me happier than to hear her and Izzy talking about baby names and debating finding out the gender before birth. I loved that my mother loved my mate, but she couldn’t keep manipulating all her time. Since Isabella was pregnant, she wasn’t training. That meant she was staying up later, and sleeping later, and I would only see her in passing. When I had a free hour or two during the day, I almost always found her sequestered with my mother somewhere whispering like a pair of teenagers.
