Chapter thirty four - Finally meeting face to face!!!

"I'm really sorry about all that you have to go through because of me" I finally speak up. 

"What are you apologizing for?" Carly asks. 

"It's all because of me that you have been abducted" I answer sadly. 

"No it's not, partially" Martha says. 

"Where have you been by the way? We were all worried sick about you" she adds. 

"I don't know what to say" I answer and I honestly don't have any explanations. 

"That's absurd, you disappeared for almost two weeks and now you showed up and say you don't know what to day?" she asks. 

That's Martha for you, always pissed off. 

"Well, I have my reasons but I doubt if you would ever believe it" I say. 

"I'd believe everything you'd say at this moment, I'm abducted by some animal like creatures, then what is there left to not believe" Carly says. 

"Wait a minute! Did you say animal like creatures?" I ask, now turning all my attention to her. 

"Yeah, you heard right, I don't want to believe it too but they can change into animals in an instant, they changed into some dog like creatures" she says. 

Saying I'm speechless it's just an understatement about the situation I'm in. All my body organs have turned into jellies. 

"Hey, snap out of it" Carly says and snaps a finger in front of my face. 

"Why are you silent all of a sudden?" she asks. 

I guess I should just tell them the truth about why I ran away from home since I'm currently trapped in a room and the creatures that I ran away from are the cause. I should have suspected that when I saw that man suddenly growing fangs and his eyes changing colour, don't forget the way he moves like a passing breeze of air. 

How stupid I was to not see all those things. I turn to see how Martha is taking all this new creatures news but to my surprise, but not utterly surprised, she's soundly asleep. 

I know she sleeps early but never did I guess that she can also sleep amidst all these danger ahead of us. 

"Don't you worry about her, she always sleep like that" Carly says. 

"Yeah I know, but I never thought that she has the capacity of sleeping during these kind of situations" I say, wishing I'm kinda like her, then I can at least sleep off my worries for a while. 

"So you were gonna tell us, now me why you ran away from home" she says. 

"Oh yeah" I say absentmindedly. 

I'm just thinking about how star light is faring right now, I know she's dead worried about me. I told her since from the beginning of my field trip and the attack up till when I saw the news. 

"That's why you decided to leave?" she asks after I have finished telling her everything, well almost everything. 

"Yeah, I don't want anybody to be hurt just because of me" I say in my defence but I can see that this still didn't work out as well. 

"That's brave of you but still you didn't have to do that, you should have told anyone, you could have told me, you can't fight all this alone" she says. 

Had it been we are not tied up, this would be a good moment to get a hug from her. She's definitely the elder sister I never had. 

She also told me how she ended up here. She has been calling my phone nonstop since the day I left but it was always switched off. But she got lucky three days ago. To me it's not luck, it is misfortune, because of that phone call, she's now currently tied up on the ground in God knows where. 

When the call finally went through, she was told that my body was found in the outskirt of the town and they didn't know who to call. She didn't tell my parents because she was worried about how they were going to react. 

So, she decided to go there herself and identify my dead body. When she finally arrived, there was nobody around but then suddenly, some animals filled the place. They changed into humans in front of her bare eyes. 

Then they abducted her and the next thing she remembered was her waking up near Martha in this place. 

"I'm really sorry" I apologize once again. 

"No, it's not your fault, at least now you have someone by your side" she says, trying to comfort me. 

I know that the two of them can lay down their lives for me if need be but I will always blame myself if something happens to them because of me.

The next morning

It's morning already. I know that from the sun light that's reflecting one of the windows in the room. I didn't know when I fell asleep let alone why I woke up all of a sudden. 

I hear a growl in front of me. I look up to where I heard the growl and I see a huge looking wolf staring at me. 

I can feel that my heart have skipped more than one beats. 

The wolf growls again and walks towards us. I force my eyes shut waiting for what is to come next. The growling stops and I feel my hands being untied. 

My hands are finally free then my legs. I try to hit whoever is it that untied me. 

"Don't even think of doing that" a woman's voice echoes in my ear. 

I open my eyes and see a woman in her late twenties I guess. 

She's standing in front of me naked. I quickly turn my head away from her. Don't these people have any shame. 

"Get up, the Alpha wants to see you" she says in a voice that I can't predict as an angry or normal voice but there's definitely some hidden emotions in it. 

"Who's Alpha?" I ask her. 

She didn't answer me. So I just sealed my basket mouth and get up. I'm still in my short and vest so just believe me if I say I'm freezing cold. 

I followed her from behind like an obedient puppy. We walk out and head to a stairs. So we were locked up in a basement. 

We walkout to a very dashing and magnificent hallway. I wasn't given the time and chance to suck up all the beauty as we turn left and head out of the hallway. 

We stop in front of a very huge door. 

"He's waiting for you inside" she says and leaves without even escorting me in. 

I take a minute to tie my messy hair into a bun. I want to look a bit presentable. 

From the name Alpha, I'm sure the person I'm gonna meet is a very powerful and influential man. 

I knock but nobody answers, so I just push in. 

There are many men standing in the room. I stand there staring at them. 

"The Alpha is waiting for you in that room" one of the men says. 

"O...OK" I stammer and almost run to the door that he pointed at. 

I knock again this time. 

"Come in" he says. 

I gently push the door and enter. 

He's sitting in a chair I presume because a huge table has blocked the view. He's facing the other side as well. 

"Come in and have a sit" he says. 

I walk over and do as he ordered. 

He turns around and face me. It is the man with that blondie from yesterday. 

So he's the Alpha. The name kinda suits him. He keeps staring at me like he's studying my anatomy. I start moving uncomfortably in my chair. 

"OK let's go straight to business" he says after he has finished studying me. 

"I'm gonna tell you one secret" he says calmly. 

So now we are sharing secrets, way to conceive me to tell him what I don't know. 

"You are different from them, I can feel that now, I wasn't ready to believe it too but now I'm convinced" he say and smiles. 

He really smiled. 

Oh my God! He really smiled, I feel like I'm hyperventilating right now.

"I bet you told my friends the exact same thing you're telling me now" I say, still believing that he just wants to deceive me. 

He smiles again. 

"I don't have to do that, and like I told you, you're different, it's up to you to believe that" he pauses. 

"We were talking yesterday" he adds. 

'More like you are trying to make me admit that I'm a criminal' I want to say that but I know I wouldn't dare. 

"So, in the first place, the decision isn't mine to make but I feel like I just owe you this after kidnapping you of course" he says and let's out a dry laugh.

"I'm taking all of you to Kansasdale today, no I'm sending you there, I would have taken you myself but I can't" he says. 

Why is he telling me all this things now. 

"Be ready because you'll be on the road in thirty minutes" he says and gets up from his chair. 

He walks over to me. 

"Just a word of warning and advice, your life might change for the better or worst, the truth is your only weapon now, so think wisely before saying anything over there" he says and walks out, leaving me sitting there dumbfounded. 

His words doesn't even make sense. How can a single truth change my fate. 

I'm lost in my thoughts that I don't even know that somebody has walk into the room. It's the blondie again. She walks in and sits besides me. 

She hands over a dress to me. 

"I hope I would be seeing more of you in the future" she says and smiles. 

She smiles! What is wrong with the people in this house today, they just keep smiling for no reason. 

"Good luck" she says as she gets up from the chair. 

I force a fake smile on my face too. I don't want her to think I'm rude or something, just like her. 

"Follow me" she says and I have no choice but to follow her. 

She takes me to a huge guest suite. 

"Take your bath here and if you need anything, just tell the maids" she says and pats my shoulder. 

Why the sudden kindness now?. 

I drag my legs into the bathroom and head into the shower. I take a quick shower and walkout. 

I quickly change into the dress that the blond woman gave me. 

The dress is so beautiful but one problem, it's too transparent for my liking. I'm not wearing anything underneath so you can literally see everything. I should just change back to my old clothes. I know they are not decent too but they are more than this. I pick up the clothes but then, I thought, it's better to die in clothes like this than mine. 

The blondie came in. 

"Wow! You look amazing" she says. 

OK, one, I'm definitely dreaming. Two, I look hideous in this dress. 

I force a smile on my face. 

"Thanks" I say. 

"OK it's time to leave" she says. 

Since it's a dream and I'd be awake in no time. 

"What's you're name?" she asks. 

"It's Katrina" I answer. 

What is she going to do with my name now?. 

"I'm Natasha" she says. 

I just keep quite because I don't know what to say. 

Even though it's a dream, it's a bad one in my opinion. 

These people can never be nice to me. 

"Ma'am, it's time for them to leave" a maid says as she walks in. 

"OK, we'll be there in a minute" she says. 

"Let's get going then" she says after the maid has walked out. 

I followed her and we walk out of the room. 

I'm still waiting for myself to finally wake up. 

We walk out to a place filled with bunch of cars. I see Carly and Martha too. 

They are as dirty as I left them. 

They all look at me in disbelief s I'm looking at them. So this is not a dream and I'm the only one who's getting this suspicious courtesy from them. 

I was made to enter the car but before that, I was blindfolded again. Now I can't see anything. 

I feel somebody sit besides me and I'm sure it's Martha and Carly. 

"You look beautiful in that dress" Carly says. 

"Hmm, I hate them but I had no other choice but to obey those people" I say. 

"They made you wear it?" Martha asks. 

"Yes" I answer. 

"I think they like you" Carly says. 

"I don't think so, it's either they just want to sacrifice me in a ritual or I'm dreaming or both" I say. 

We all keep quite when we hear the cars driving off. Driving off to our death f you ask me.

Alpha Gilbert has called me earlier this morning and told me that the girls are coming in today but he wouldn't be able to come due to the upcoming festival. I can't wait to see them and finally end their lives. 

From the time he told me that they left Port's ville, they would be here in about thirty minutes from now. And the festival would be starting late in the afternoon right before the full moon will comes out and it will last for three days from today, till the moon finally goes away. 

I'm sitting in my study with my sister when they announced that they have final arrived. 

"Who arrived?" Serena asks. 

"The murderers" I answer. 

"OK let's go and meet them, finally" she says eagerly.

I mind linked all the high table members and told them to meet me in the conference room right away. 

Within ten minutes, we are all sitted in the room. 

"Bring them in" I order. 

They were brought in by the guards. 

My heart skipped a beat or two as soon as they walked in. 

Her scent filled the conference room, making it hard for me to breath. 

"Remove their blindfolds" my sister orders this time for I have finally lost my words. 

They finished removing the blindfolds at the same time that I was looking their way. 

My eyes fell directly into hers, making me tense on my seat. 

Both of us keep staring into each others eyes. 

She is more beautiful than I have ever remembered. 

My gaze diverted from her eyes to her body and I kinda regretted that but I can't deny it, she looks smoking hot forcing my air ways to cease working.
