When I said, "I think that the two of them might be mates", Emily looks at me like I've said something ridiculous.
"What, did I say something wrong?" I ask.
"No, but where did you hear that?" she asks.
"Nowhere, I was just saying" I answer.
Then she relaxed. What is happening here?.
"Do you know that he almost chocked me to death when I told him to kill the girl already or I should do it for him" I say.
