"Did I say something last night?" I startle at Ayla's voice coming from the bottom of the stairs. She was still wearing her clothes from last night minus the unkempt hair and snarky attitude. Amid my lethargy, my hand reaches over to my watch on the small side table beside the couch where I was sleeping on last night.  Apparently, it still is last night considering it was two in the fuckin' morning and my back hurts like a b***h from the springs of the decrepit couch digging into me.
