Gabriel becomes furious, and the argument between him and the officer gets serious that causes him to be detained for hours in the police station for the entire night. However, he can't stay there as Crystal is waiting to be rescued by him.
"Excuse me, sir. Can you hand me my phone, please? I just need to call someone to help get out of here tonight." He calmly asked the officer who was guarding him.
"Sure, Mr. Anderson. But you need to hurry before my companion comes back." The officer let him
"No problem."
Gabriel dialed Axel's number, but his not-so-reliable friend didn't pick the call. He tried again but still the same until he thought of his uncle Leo. But his uncle's number is not reachable as well.
"Why are these people not answering their phones!?" His annoying complaint.
Gabriel stayed at the police station for hours already but still hopeless, and it's already almost sunrise. He was crouching on the cold floor as he dropped his head down, crumpling his hair with disappointment.
Suddenly, someone arrived at the police station and saw Gabriel behind bars in the station's tiny prison.
"What happened to him?" He asked the officer in charge while typing a report.
"Over speeding, driving with no license, bribing an officer and when he got declined, he became violent while arguing."
The man nodded and walked closer to the bars.
“Hey! Need some help, Mr. Anderson?”

Crystal woke up in the same bed, still biting the fabric wrapped around her mouth and tied hands. The lady hardly moves her body, still trying to get her hands out, even though it causes her to bleed. She keeps on whimpering with the pain and worrying that she will switch any minute from now and just hoping that no one would see her, which is not possible in her current situation.
After being unsuccessful in untying herself, she took her underwear instead because if she turns with it still attached to her down there, she will indeed get wounded.
She moves and shoves herself on the bed, trying to slide the fabric off her body. Until she successfully got rid of it. Her body felt so drained after struggling too much. Her wrist was bleeding already, which weakened her even.
Until she can feel it already, she switches. She whines about the pain she is enduring while beads of sweat form on her forehead. While her legs are currently in the process, she suddenly heard voices behind the door of the room.
Her heart was pounding fast, afraid of getting caught by those nasty men, including her cousin Rachel. But her worries came to life when one man burst inside the room with his eyes wide in disbelief.
"Max! Max!" He yelled at the other man.
"What!? I was talking to Miss Rachel! Can't you wait!?" the man complains, with his voice full of annoyance. But when his eyes darted at the transforming lady, terrified was evident on his face.
"Monster!" He screamed.
"Ma'am, the la-lady is a monster!" He told Rachel on the other line.
"Take a video, quick!" He demands the man who is also quivering in fear.
The feeble Crystal can't do anything to save herself, as she only jerks her head to the side to cover her face.
'Gabriel, help me.' She begged as she kept on shedding tears that now turned into pearls.
"I can't believe sirens are real!" The other man remarked as he stepped forward to get a closer look at Crystal's tail and about to touch her, but the siren protected herself by flipping her large tail and sharp fin to the man.
"What the!?" He furiously uttered when Crystal cut his skin and about to hit the siren, but the other man ceased his action.
"Hey! Stop it! We need to make sure that she is alive and in good shape until Miss Rachel arrives. I'm pretty sure that this monster will give us a lot of money!"
The man smirked viciously, looking down at the siren as he walked out of the door, leaving the exhausted and dehydrated siren until a few minutes later, she passed out.
*****
"Crystal!" A familiar voice kept calling her name as she felt comfort in her hands, and they freed her mouth too.
"Gabe?" Crystal whimpered as she hardly opened her eyes.
Gabriel wrapped her body with the blanket and scooped her up, carrying her to the bathroom inside the room. He put the siren down on the cold tiled floor and opened the shower to soak her body. He held her hands, cleaning up the wounds under the sprinkling water.
"Gabe, what took you so long?" Suddenly the siren muttered in her weak tone.
"I'm sorry, love. But I'm here now. I will let no one hurt you again." He told her with his trembling voice and kissed the siren on the forehead.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, caressing her hair.
"I don't know." Crystal answered with a quivering voice as her tears were already welling up.
"I'm sad, scared, and terrified. Those men call me a monster." She added, trying hard to suppress her emotion.
"Just forget about it because you're not. You are a beautiful creature, my love."
"Mr. Anderson, we have to get out of here now," Jason burst in and interrupted.
"Jason?" It brought Crystal with so much confusion about why they are together, looking at the two men. However, instead of explaining why they are together, Gabriel quickly fixed the wet blanket all over her tail. Then, once secured, he carried her out of the room immediately.
Crystal and Jason's eyes met, but the latter only showed a smile to her, to which she responded in return. As they descended through the staircase, Crystal saw the two unconscious and men slumped on the floor.
Gabriel hurriedly and carefully settled the siren on his lap inside the black SUV while Jason settled himself in the driver's seat.
"Jason." Crystal suddenly called the man, but Jason only glanced at her through the rearview mirror as he started the engine and steered.
"You need to find Pearl. She might be in danger by now. I'm afraid that uncle Austin might hurt her." She weakly said, but her words brought confusion to both men, especially to Gabriel.
"Don't worry about her. She is safe now. I already asked my colleagues to take them to a safe place." Jason explained.
"What did you just say? Why did you address Austin as an uncle?" Gabriel inquired, trying to look at her face, which is being tilted against his shoulder. However, instead of explaining, Crystal jerks her face to avoid the man's eyes.
They travel away from the city for hours until Jason halts the car on the side of the road.
"Mr. Anderson, you have to take it from here." He said, unbuckling his seatbelt.
"Just continue the road from here and follow my instructions." He added and stepped out from the vehicle.
Gabriel hurriedly stepped out after making sure that Crystal was comfortable on the back passenger's seat, and before Jason finally left, he went to the siren.
"Be safe. Don't stress yourself about Pearl because they are all safe now." Crystal weakly smiled and nodded.
Jason pulled Crystal for a kiss on the forehead. But Gabriel, in the driver's seat, suddenly reacted by dramatically coughing. Jason chuckles at his reaction and closes the door already as he waves his hand to the siren goodbye.
They wasted no time and hastily pulled over.
"Gabe, I need water," Crystal announced when the blanket covering her body almost dried up already.
"Here, damp your body a bit with this first." Gabriel handed her a half-liter of drinking water, which Crystal received, and poured the whole thing on her face and body. But it still wasn't enough, as she needed to dip her entire body in water.
Crystal doesn't know how long she's been sleeping, but Gabriel already carried her in his arms when she opened her eyes.
"Where are we?" she asked, roaming her eyes around the area.
She saw a cabin from a distance surrounded by trees near a river where Gabriel is heading to put her down.
"Stay here. I’ll just check the house, okay?" And she nodded, watching the man walking away.
