Chapter 9 Mates Family

Jax POV

I am in my office pacing, wondering if she is doing okay. My wolf is still very agitated about the condition she is in and that we didn’t find her sooner. I wonder what she went through the 2 years that she has been gone. It definitely seems like that it wasn’t good that’s for sure. No doubt because of her wolf being a legendary warrior. Her wolf being a legendary wolf is going to cause some problems with the council. However, I am going to keep it from them as long as I can and it the change might be good. Another thing that is bothering is how feral her wolf is and how dangerous that can be, especially with whatever she has gone through. The doctor is expecting her to have some bad PTSD, Depression, and maybe anxiety. She said once she is ready and her body is healthy she would for her to see the pack therapist. Hopefully she can eventually tame her wolf to where she is not so dangerous. Her family should be here any minuet now. I called a meeting with them. Her parents do not know yet that we found her or her condition. Kai, her brother is going to be there to help break the news to them. No doubt they will want to see her right away, but I don’t think she will remember them. Hell, she didn’t remember Kai being her little brother, which broke him. I have never seen Kai cry since the night that she disappeared. He vowed to find her one day. However, I don’t think he expected her to be such bad shape and to not remember him. I decide to go check on Elle, so my wolf and I can calm down a little. I make it to her room and just barely crack the door to peak in. She is sleeping soundly wrapped up in the blanket, I can just see the top of her head, but I hear her snoring softly. Next, I head down to the kitchen and grab a pitcher of water and some cups placing them on a tray. I head down the hall to my office, setting the tray down on my desk next to kleenex before her family arrives. I smell them before they enter, they knock on the door. “Come on in” I say. “You wanted to see us Alpha Jax” they bowed respectfully. “Please sit down, get comfy.” I tell them. They do as I say. “I have some news for you. We have found Elle. She is in bad shape but should recover quite well. She is also my mate and your Luna.” I tell them. It takes them a few minutes to process and then her mother asks “How bad of shape is she in and where is she? I need to see her.” “She is bruised, cut up, and very sore. Now her mental state is another story. We don’t how bad it is or how badly she was treated. We do know that she wasn’t treated very well and that she is very feral right now. Once her body is in better shape, she will be seeing a therapist. You may not see her right now as she needs to rest, and I am not sure if she will remember you guys.” I tell them sadly. Her father stands up and yells “How do you know she that she doesn’t remember us! Did you catch the bastards that hurt?!” “Sit down. I will tell you more when your calm.” I calmly tell him. “I will not sit down, until you give me some answers!” He yells at me. Kai stands up and says “Dad, she didn’t remember who I was. Now please sit down and respect our Alpha.” His father looks at him sadly and ask quietly “She didn’t remember you?” “No dad, she didn’t.” he said to him trying to hide the sadness in his voice. His father sits back down on the couch and holds his wife and she sobbing. “I am very sorry for yelling at you Alpha.” Apologizing to me. They spend a few more minuets holding each other. “Where did you find her?” her mother ask. “ “We found her at the south border by the pond, she was getting a drink of water when found her.” I tell her mother. “So she found her way back home then.” She quietly says. “When can we see her?” “The doctor wants to wait a couple weeks, until her third appointment. She wants to make sure that it will be safe for her and the pack before we re-introduce her. I tell her softly but stern. She start to sob again and chokes out in between “I just want to see my baby.” I sigh understandingly. “I will ask her tomorrow is she up to seeing you guys. If she is then they are a few ground rules we must go over. One, no sudden movements. Two, No touching her unless she is okay with it. Three, she probably doesn’t not remember you as her parents, so she could see you as a threat. So please be careful and follow the first two rules closely. Four, at any point in time that I think the situation is becoming dangerous I will immediately stop the visit.” I tell them sternly. They both get up and hug me, giving me their thanks. I pull her father outside my office and tell him “I have not found the bastard that did this to her but I promise you I will,”. He says his thanks and goes back and grabs his wife. Once they leave, Kai ask nervously “Can I stay and help you with my sister, in case you need. I will sleep in my office.” “Of course you can stay, and sleep in a guest bedroom please. You can stay in the one next to hers if you would like. I will also be staying in guest bedroom right across from hers.” I tell him. “Thank you so much Jax” he tells me. We heads home to grab some extra clothes and talk with their parents some more, I head up to mine and grab some clothes and head down to the guest bedroom I will be staying in. I desperately need a shower and some sleep.
