I swung my head in Maya’s direction as her mouth slackened open in shock, the bottle of water that she grabbed slipped from her hands, falling right on the table.
Gasps echoed through the whole room and a smirk formed right at the corner of my lips.
Maya soon shook her head before she slumped right on the chair behind her. She leaned forward on the table, her head lung low, and at that moment, I couldn't help but ponder the thoughts that went through her head.
I knew she was in that stage where she was in denial but very soon, she would be shamed.
