Where is your Alpha now? I told you no one would ever protect you. You're mine.
I feel a hard slap against my cheek, causing me to wake. I jump up with my fist prepared to fight, when I notice there's no one in the room. Sam pops awake alongside me with concern in his eyes. I ease his mind and tell him to go back to sleep.
He fights me at first, but when I lie down with him, he seems to fall back asleep while I stay awake staring at the ceiling.
