"Thank you, Alpha Callie, for giving me such an honorable introduction. I'd like to also thank everyone who has joined us here tonight to welcome and support me. I'd also like to stress that I am not a replacement for James. I am just additional help who works beside him. In the future, I hope you will all see me as an extension of the Alphas when they are unavailable or even just as someone you can come to when you need help. It is a great privilege to be given this position. I promise to work hard every day to prove that making me a Beta of this pack is the right decision," I announce.
The crowd erupts in cheers and claps, making my face heat up. I look over at Callie, who stares at me with stars in her eyes. It kind of reminds me of a look my parents used to give. M
