~NICO~ Enzo held out a cloth without saying a word. I took it and wiped my hands slowly, watching as the last of the bodies were dragged across the concrete floor. The men I used for cleanup worked efficiently, the way they always did. No hesitation, no questions. They knew their job. Enzo glanced at the bodies, then back at me. “You think killing all of them was worth it?” “Yes,” I said simply, dragging the cloth over my knuckles again before handing it back to him. “They stole from me. This is the cost.” Not just stole—sold it off like it meant nothing. Weapons I paid for, moved, secured, handed out for scraps like they were worth nothing more than a quick payout. I’ve never understood that kind of stupidity. If you’re going to betray me, at least have the decency to profit from it.
