It was getting dark, and we were all getting ready for the ceremony, still reeling from everything that had happened today—and everything that would change in our lives in just a few days. Stella, Sabby, and Bella were all in my room, and a whole platoon of makeup had taken over the dresser. Laughter and chatter filled the space, but only Stella and I knew what had happened earlier in Liam’s office. My dad had mind-linked us to keep it under wraps until after the ceremony.
I’d just stepped out of a quick shower when my mum’s mind-link buzzed through, rushing me to hurry.
“The moms are yelling at us to get ready faster. Wyatt’s mum is already complaining about how we didn’t get professional help,” Sabby said, rolling her eyes dramatically.
“Yeah, so is your mum, Scar,”
