ALORA
I was in my element, surrounded by the scents of garlic, onions, and sizzling steak. It was steak week, and I had pulled out all the stops, preparing creamy steak fettuccine, outback steakhouse Tasmanian chili, steak au poivve soup, Philly cheesesteak quesadillas, and beef stroganoff. The kitchen was alive with the sounds of chopping, sizzling, and the clinking of pots and pans.
I poured my heart into every dish, hoping to create something special for the pack. Cooking had always been my nack and I wanted to make the best out of it.
As the aroma of the dishes wafted through the air, pack members began to gather in the general hall. The long tables were set with plates, silverware, and glasses, ready for the feast. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy.
Elias entered the hall and greeted everyone with a warm smile.
"Alora, this smells incredible," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration.
I blushed, ducking my head. "Thank you, Alpha. I hope everyone enjoys it."
Elias sat at the head table and Laura served him a portion of each of the meals. He took a bite of the quesadillas and his eyes went round. "This is incredibly delicious. Happy steak week indeed."
Pack members rushed to take their seats and children filled the hall. Plates were passed around, and soon, everyone was digging into the dishes with gusto.
Amidst the feast, Sebastian made his entrance, carrying a tiny white kitten in his arms. The irony of a wolf to have a kitten as a pet, I threw him a curious glance and he shrugged.
"I know it's strange for a wolf to have a cat," he said, addressing the room. "But I love cats, even if I'm a wolf."
I couldn't help but smile at Sebastian's openness. The kitten, sensing the attention, squirmed in his arms and meowed softly.
Just then, the pack's Siberian husky, a mischievous ball of energy, bounded into the hall. The husky's eyes locked onto the kitten, and before anyone could react, the chase was on. The kitten darted out of Sebastian's arms, scrambling across the tables and knocking over plates in its bid for escape. The husky followed closely, barking excitedly.
The kitten, in a desperate bid for safety, leapt onto my lap, its tiny body trembling with fear. I cradled it gently, soothing it with soft murmurs. The husky skidded to a halt in front of me, its tail wagging furiously.
"Looks like you've made a new friend," Elias said with a chuckle, whistling to call the husky to his side and the husky obediently complied.
I laughed, stroking the kitten's soft fur. "I guess so."
"I don't think I want to share Effy's love with anyone." Sebastian grumbled.
Effy purred and went into my shirt for warmth "I don't think she agrees to that."
Sebastian rolled his eyes and tried to coax Effy back to him but she only snuggled closer to me.
"Come on Effy, you know I'm much warmer than her."
Effy meowed and ran to meet Sebastian.
"I have to prepare her warm milk, want to follow me?"
"What about your breakfast?"
"Breakfast can wait a bit, my baby needs to feed."
I smiled, gulped down my steak au poivve soup and happily followed Sebastian to feed Effy.

Just as I finished helping Laura tidy the kitchen, Doctor Lila walked in. She carried a file in her hands, her expression serious yet kind. My heart skipped a beat, knowing she had my overall test results.
"Alora, can we talk?" she asked, her voice gentle.
I nodded, feeling anxious. We stepped aside to a quieter corner of the hall, and Lila opened the file.
"Your tests show that you're healthy overall," she began, her eyes meeting mine. "But there's something else you need to know."
A knot formed in my stomach. "What is it?"
"You're pregnant, Alora," Lila said softly, her eyes filled with concern and compassion.
The words hit me like a thunderbolt. Pregnant. I was pregnant. My mind reeled, trying to process the information. I placed a hand on my stomach, a mix of emotions swirling within me.
"How far along?" I managed to ask
"About four weeks." Lila replied. "I know this is a lot to take in, but we'll support you every step of the way. There are some things you need to be aware of during your pregnancy."
I was really pregnant, with Aziel's baby. As if things couldn't get worse for me. We never used protection the two times we had s*x and neither was I on birth control. But reality check, I was pregnant, I have a pup growing inside me, highly an Alpha pup.
I nodded silently, I never had any motherly love or anyone to explain the possibilities of a baby.
"You have to prime your body, that means eating healthy, more folic acid intakes and regular pregnancy exercises. Also not missing your antenatal appointments. I will write down the list of food intakes and prescribe natal vitamins to you. And have enough rest, no stressing."
"You would also experience pregnancy symptoms, pregnancy is not an easy journey. Is the father an Alpha?"
I nodded, unable to speak
"Alpha pup pregnancies are normally tasking and can overbear the mother, but if you follow what I give you strictly, you will have no problem. You will experience morning sickness, nausea, sensitivity to smell, sore breasts, back pain, frequent urination, appetite increase and mood swings. A possibility of adding weight is also there."
My mind was racing and the wheels in my head was turning. No matter how far I run from him, he seems to leave his mark everywhere I go to.
"Remember, you're not alone in this," she said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "We're here for you. The pack is here for you. I'm a mother also, I know how it feels. Are you going to tell the father?"
"I don't know. I don't know what to do. He would reject the baby, he rejected me."
"Don't worry about it, take your time, this is your home now."
I nodded, gratitude and fear mingling in my heart. "Thank you, Lila."
As she left, I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts. The reality of my situation began to sink in, and I knew I had to tell Elias and Sebastian.
.............................................................................................................................................................
I found Elias and Sebastian talking on the farm. They looked up as I nervously approached them, their expressions hardening with concern.
"Alora, is everything okay? Did Lila say something is wrong?" Elias asked, his eyes searching mine.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself. "As a matter of fact, yes. But not in the bad sense I think. I'm pregnant, and the baby belongs to Aziel."
The silence that followed was thick with tension. Elias's face softened with understanding, while Sebastian's expression hardened with anger?
Sebastian stepped closer, his eyes locking onto mine. "Alora, I need to tell you something too. I have feelings for you. I was just talking to Elias about making you my mate but I don't want to spring that up on you, so I want to take things slow. And with the baby on the way which is not your fault, he was your fated mate afterall. I want to take care of you and the baby. I want you to be my mate."
The weight of his words hung in the air, and I felt my heart race. "Sebastian... I don't know what to say."
He took my hand, his grip firm and reassuring. "You don't have to decide now. Just know that I'm here for you, no matter what."
Elias nodded in agreement. "We'll support whatever decision you make, Alora. You're part of our pack, our family."
..............................................................................................................................................................
In the night, I cradled my stomach, whispering a promise to my unborn child. "We'll find our way, little one. Together."
"I can feel the soul of our baby Alora. What are we going to do?"
"I don't know Lyra, I don't know."
