CONSTANCE It was a good afternoon, but not for me. Everyone was extremely energetic in contrast with the fitting storm of rage within me. I could no longer ignore him, for four days I have tried to ignore his calls and texts but I couldn't ignore them much longer, I couldn't afford to be suspected of anything. My fingers trembled as I clutched my phone, my footsteps echoing off the cold stone walls of the secluded courtyard I'd retreated to. I barely was able to slip out unnoticed.
