Chapter 3

*Rieka* The only emotion that had clouded my life ever since I got here was that of fear and fright... Nervousness!!! But I had tried to take every other thing in!! But the thing I knew was that even my spirit, soul, and body couldn't comprehend a man turning into an animal and morphing back into his human form. I always knew that there was more to life than met the physical eye but this was too much for me to absorb in. If not for the fact that I had taken my studies seriously, I wouldn't have known that this stark naked man in front of me was a werewolf. So do Werewolves exist? I thought we were taught that they had gone extinct. But then, the book I was holding in my hands fell from my hands and gave a slight thud making the werewolf aware of its surroundings and it swerved immediately to meet me with questioning yet dangerous eyes. Before I could comprehend whatever it was that just happened, the werewolf morphed into his wolf form and sprinted away. Now my life wouldn't remain the same, because I knew that no matter how creepy this place was, I wasn't leaving. Not now that I found out that my beliefs were actually true. I ran back to the house and put a can of water into my backpack with quite a considerable amount of snacks. It was time for me to be the second Dora the Explorer! I began walking with exactly no destination in mind deep into the woods, the only thing I knew was that I was going to be sure that what I had seen earlier wasn't all kinds of beef and my imagination. The more I walked, the closer the growlings and groans and crackling of bones became closer. Sure!! I was going to find something. But I halted in my tracks when I saw a gigantic mansion with the words " The Luna Guardians Pack." A werewolf pack!! I subconsciously touched my pocket to check if my phone was there and it was intact. I'm going to be taking a lot of pictures today to prove my theory that supernatural creatures still exist. The only mistake I made was letting one of the werewolves see me as she howled. I guess she was crying out that someone had intruded into their territory. I closed my eyes in frustration as I began retracing my steps,..the werewolves can't get me now! From little steps and pace, I broke out in a defiant race as I noticed that some werewolves in their animal form were racing toward me. There was no way I could outrun them! Damn, this is where my entire life ends today. Still running, I stumbled upon something then tripped and fell with my face buried into the earth. Looking back, the wolves had slowed down as they were already closing in on me. I'm gone and dead! I didn't need a sorcerer or preacher to tell me that I wasn't getting out of here alive. The monstrous blood lust look and death glare that their eyes gelled was enough to interpret that to me. Just then, I knew that they were about to pounce on me so I shut my eyes tightly as I mentally cursed myself. I should have never left the house. Well, my eyes were still shut as I waited for the impact of the hit but then I heard a deep masculine voice that held so much authority and defiance in them. "Stand down!." He ordered and I didn't dare to open my eyes. I don't want to know what is going on, please! "Stay out of this Conri, you're not even the Alpha." I heard a female voice reiterate but that was after I heard bones crackle. It seemed like she shifted back to her human form to defend Conri, the man who saved me. And then the wolves growled like they were out attacking, that was when I was prompted to look up and take a closer look not like I was peering at them anyway. Then just there, Conri's eyes glowed with that green radiation and he said in a hoarse voice. "With the authority of the first army, I said stand down." He growled and it felt like they were all immediately placed on a spell as they bowed their heads in obeisance. But instead of thinking about how I survived, I began peering at the man because I was certain I had seen him somewhere. Wait!! He was that man standing on the valley hill. Well, if I said that Conri looked hot far up there, he was breathtaking up close. I didn't realize I was drooling till he pulled me up by my hands and dragged me towards their pack. "The Luna Guardians!." But heck!! The way he was pulling me was not at all nice compared to the fact that he just saved my life. Well, we finally got into the pack and as we passed, I could see wolves sniffing, gritting, and gnashing their teeth like they were about to have dinner. If this pack looked gigantic from the outside, the inside looked terrific. It felt like another world altogether, I must commend the wolves... They even looked more civilized than actual humans. I was taken to Alpha, I presumed and chills ran down my spine as I bowed down in obeisance. Don't ask me how I know what an Alpha is, I'm a mythology student. I was interrogated by the Alpha, the Beta, and Conri whilst the wolves that almost killed me stood present. I'm sure they were waiting for their Alpha's declarations on having my life in balance so they could feast on my skin. Well, now that I knew supernatural creatures existed... I couldn't wait to get back home. Shoot!! My phone!! I haven't taken any pictures yet. My life is been decided and I'm talking about pictures, how interesting!! Well, it seemed the Alpha ordinarily would have given a death sentence but Conri pleaded on my behalf and another punishment was given to me. "Miss, you are hereby forbidden to return to the mundane world!." The Alpha growled and my jaw dropped open. Held Hostage in a werewolf world.
