I tightened my bright purple striped tie and buttoned the jacket of the bright white suit I decided to put on. My mom always told me to stand out and make sure to make a bold statement about yourself. I stood back to take a good look in the mirror with a grin and thought to myself, gosh do I look like a stud. *knock... knock* "Yeah," I called out. My door slowly opened and in popped my mother. "Mom... you must be ready to go? I know I am!" "Yes Luka, I am ready to go." she said chuckling. "But before we head out the door there is something I need to tell you.... tonight can go so many different ways, so please be careful. Shelbee's father is not supposed to be around but that does not mean his men are not watching. Only Shelbee, her mom, you, and I know that you two are mates and if Trenton's men see you trying to make a move on Shelbee, they could mind link him and then all hell will break loose." I starred at her for a moment before defeat washed over me.... I know my mom is right. She is honestly never wrong. But that doesn't mean I cannot speak with her. I will do what I can tonight, meet some of the people. It will be okay. I sighed, "alright mom, let's go!" We walked down the hall to the large front doors and stepped out onto the front steps. In front of the mansion waited a large black limo. The man opened the door, my mother and I slid into our seats, and a few brief moments later we were off.

This morning was amazing. I wish it would have never ended but tonight should be fun. I was surprised to learn that my father ended up taking a last minute business trip late last night, it must have been fairly pressing for him to leave on such short notice. My mom said she had a surprise for me. Hopefully it is neat... but I wonder what it is. I slipped into my lilac colored dress. My mom picked it out for me. I like to be more conservative than this... but the back was completely open It had thin shoulder straps and was very form fitting. I'm pretty sure you could draw my body out completely. It also has a slit that was so high I swear you can see something you shouldn't you shouldn't be able to... But it was a very pretty purple that was full of glitter. I put on my pearl necklace my great grandma gave me with matching earrings and bracelet. Threw on some make up, put my grey high heals on and curled my hair. I took a step back and looked in the mirror. Hopefully this will do. I turn around and walk to my door. I grabbed the door handle and swung the door open. I was shocked to be greeted by my mother whom had a very nervous look on her face. I could not believe what I was seeing as my mother is very good at hiding her feelings but this was very plain to see. All she said to me was, "my sweet young lady, your father has returned unexpectedly, and I can tell you that tonight will not be good... we need to be prepared."
