After my mom told me that Luka was my surprise, I about fell faint. Tonight was going to be a disaster. With my father having returned, I knew that if Luka showed his face here, my father would kill him, and in turn my father would kill me without even knowing it. I stared at my mother and nodded slowly. She then told me, "Shelbee, I know that what I am about to tell you will surprise you, but this is what needs to happen! You and Luka need to seal your mate bond tonight, and once that happens our packs will unite. Chase is meeting Chelsea at the front gate and Chase is hoping to make amends with Trenton, but you know how your father is. This will not be an easy night and I have a bad feeling of what is to come. But Shelbee, please know that if you and Luka need to leave, Chase and Chelsea have already promised to take you in being their son's mate. Also, please know that your father and I do love you, your father just needs to get over his own selfish greed and understand that you being mates with Luka will allow our packs to become one and we will be the largest pack to exist. Chelsea and Chase are telling Luka the plan if for whatever reason your father cannot accept this." With that, I hugged my mom and I kissed her on the cheek. "I love you Mom... thank you for everything." I said. and with that we together went to the stairs and I awaited for my name to be announced to make my appearance.

Thank the goddess 99% of Trenton's men were on my side when it came to the mate bond and Shelbee being mates with Luka. Many of these men had mates from Chase's pack... before all of this our packs were allowed to mingle. We were definitely not normal packs but we were allies. We didnt make our men chose a pack but to be together as one...but not anymore. Hopefully that would change soon. My how selfish my husband was. Chase even imprisoned his father after what he did but that was not good enough for Trenton. Tonight my husband would pay for the wrong he has caused so many people in our pack. Chase stepped down, to allow him his rightful position but his greed and hate from what happened caused so much trouble for our pack they grew to hate him. He took his power and ruined many lives by not allowing them to be with their mates. He never even gave them a chance to chose where they preferred to live. My thoughts were soon interrupted by all of the guests greeting me as I made my way to the door to greet Chase, Chelsea and Luka. Everyone in the pack knew they were not welcome but they also all were very aware of what NEEDED to take place tonight. Not a soul would defend Trenton. They knew that Shelbee and Luka had to be together or many of them would never get to be with their mates, peacefully, ever again. "LYDIA," Chelsea yelled as she made her way up the stairs and into my arms. Following her was Chase who had the biggest smile on his face kissed me on the cheek and walked past me and behind him was the most stunning young man... Luka. Chelsea then said, "Lydia, I am so glad we are getting to do this, and out in the open! I would like to introduce you to my son, Luka." He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it, my what a kind young man, my young Shelbee was lucky indeed."It is nice to meet you Luka!" "The pleasure is all mine," he replied. " Please come in, I hope tonight goes better that what i am anticipating." i said. And Luka looked at me with the most serious face and said, "Lydia, I am here on a mission and i will do anything to see it through." With that we all walked inside, as the party was about to begin!
At the top of the staircase stood my daughter and she had her arm wrapped around Trenton's. As the announcer called out Shelbee's name I could see as they came down the stairs that Trenton was PISSED. He made eye contact with me and then to the person standing next to me..... Chase.
