The day after, Ernest called out one of the handful members of the United National Socialist Party, the minister of propaganda and the movement organizer. Lex and Wayne.
Ernest, with his crossed legs, read the reports they gave to him to review. Ernest let out a smile, satisfied with what he had learned.
"This is amazing!" Ernest praised. "I've never expected you to use the power of the media. Newspapers are a real deal and it's attracting the populace of the southern cities. With this, things will go really fast now that we have ten million desperate citizens now in our hands. It's a massive number but I think we can handle it."
"I'm honored by your praise, Volksfuhrer. We are just doing the job you gave to us and it is our responsibility to accomplish it without fail." Lex said solemnly and bowed.
Ernest nodded, "Taking on the entirety of the western region is no easy feat. If you want to take a break I will grant it to you."
Hearing that, the two exclaimed in awe at the benevolent kindness Ernest was showing to them. Surely, turning ten million citizens against the kingdom is not that easy. But…
"I'm sorry sir but we cannot accept that for now," said Lex. "We are eager to spread the words of the UNSP throughout the whole country. Wayne and I already have a plan."
"Oh? A plan huh?" Ernest leaned forward, taking interest in what they had stated.
"Yes, even though we've conquered ten million people we still have 27 million people left. Those twenty-seven million are still suffering under the kingdom and are desperate to merely scrape by. Word's on the street in the southern cities says that there are revolutionary groups in the country but they are not making any movement out of fear of sedition."
Ernest scoffed softly, "They wanted change but don't want to act, huh? It's understandable. Those people. No, my people don't have the power to act. I want them under the banner of the United National Socialist Party. Think of it this way, if they have a large number of supporters under their banner and realize that they have the power to make changes, what do you think will happen to the Kingdom of Crentis?"
"Riot, protest, people marching, all will break out," Lex answered.
"If that happens, the position of the king will be in danger. He could possibly evacuate and go to the nearest country for protection from his angry citizens."
Ernest clapped his hand, "Correct, 100 points to you. Then to stir the people's soul and to grant them power, put this on the headline," Ernest said, "The UNSP defeated the Divine Spears of Fiery Heavens, the UNSP provides job to those who are unemployed, the UNSP provides equality, and lastly the UNSP had taken over the entire western region."
After receiving his words, the two performed the UNSP salute. Then they turned to their heels and left the room to carry out their new duties.
…
An hour later, the minister of finance, Littoria, sought an audience with him. She is now wearing her new tight-fitting uniform the accentuates the beauty of her body.
"Volksfuhrer, I want to talk about our financial status," Littoria said, looking determined.
"Okay, what is it?" Ernest granted.
"I want to know how the United National Socialist Party is funding all the projects and paying the hundred thousand workers. Given the state of our economy, I am just surprised by its plausibility and possibility."
Hearing that, Ernest propped up his chin, coming up with a detailed answer. Moments later, he answered.
"We are funding the construction projects and the workers by simply plundering the riches of the nobles who opposed the party. And there are a lot of them. Not only plundering their golds but their expensive ornamentals that can be sold in the marketplace. That's how we raised funds.
"That sounds good but aren't we a little down on copper and silver coins?" Littoria asked.
"That's true that we are having a problem with the amount of copper and silver in circulation because those coins can't keep up with the demand." Ernest stated, "That's why I'm going to enact some reforms concerning the economy of the Reich."
"What is it, Volksfuhrer?" Littoria's eyes lit up from anticipation.
"Currency reforms and the establishment of a national bank."
"Currency reforms and the establishment of a national bank?" Littoria repeated and inquired, "What is it?"
"I don't have a clear answer for you now but we'll get back to that in the future. Your task will be arduous in the future. Introducing a new type of currency will not be easy." Ernest stated.
Ernest doesn't have the knowledge yet on how to put those reforms into action, so he cannot give Littoria a clear answer for that yet. He wanted to study first by purchasing books related to economics in the system shop, reading it, then relaying the newfound knowledge to her.
In the future, gold, silver, and copper will be turned into paper currency.
With a lowered head, Littoria agreed. "Okay, I will wait for that."
"For now, you manage our finances," Ernest said, "We have a copious amount of people coming in and I want them working. I want you to know if we have sufficient money supporting that."
"Understood, Volksfuhrer." She saluted and then left.
...
After discussing briefly with the three members of the UNSP, Ernest opened his system and tapped the system shop tab. Having twenty million in his balance makes him want to spend it to further develop his country. By purchasing new facilities such as a milling factory, oil refinery, manufacturing factories, et cetera. Those require a lot of people but that matter is settled as he already has ten million people under his banner.
If he's going to buy it, he needs to place it outside the city of Eighbury, not wanting to show to the populace how absurd and ridiculous those massive facilities are sprouting from the ground.
The only people he can trust in this are Blackbelly and Guilhem, who already knew about his summoning power.
Convincing the people how it was made was easy, people in the western region are mostly commoners, thus don't have access to education, hence it's easy to fool them. Simply put, Ernest is taking advantage of their stupidity.
But hardly, the last thing you want as a ruler is an uneducated mass. You want your people working, producing money for the Reich, and to achieve that you have to educate them.
But Ernest can't do that yet. Most of the scholars are living in the central region of the Kingdom of Crentis, where the capital resides. They are going to serve as teachers.
So how many plans did he come up with now? Economic reforms, new infrastructure, and education.
Education can be solved when he becomes the head of state, overhauling the current system where nobles can only study and commoners can just suck it up.
But to achieve and enforce that, he needs to empower his military. The Protection Squadron.
That means a new structure for the military. The current military force Ernest has is infantry, simply armed forces. But that's not enough. He needed to expand beyond that.
He wants to introduce mechanized and armored divisions, meaning new technologies to be summoned, mainly military vehicles. A war against the kingdom and other countries in the future are inevitable. To do that, he needs to pimp up his army.
Ernest grabbed a piece of paper and wrote something in it. It was the military branch and structure of the Cretian Reich Armed Forces or Wehrmacht. Consisting of Heer, Luftwaffe, and Kriegsmarine. The army, air force, and navy, respectively.
To support this, institutions must be built such as naval schools and air force schools. Which houses modern equipment such as simulations to train the applicants. It'll be cool though if WW2 planes were to be built but he doesn't need to do that as it's a waste of investment.
In this world, magic is kind of overpowered. He doesn't want to rely on outdated machines. Meaning he wanted something new and it's currently used in the modern era. Still, to operate those war machines, he needed to educate the masses.
Putting the pen down, Ernest decided and went on a shopping spree in his system shop tab. Investing eight million in facilities and infrastructure, and twelve million to the military.
This is going to be exhilarating.
