The day or two after the ley lines were re-shielded were a little foggy. What wasn’t foggy was how Carson was with me every step of the way and how he cared for me in my weakened state. I was surprised when I woke up after a day of sleeping. I thought I would sleep longer. Even though I was awake, I was incredibly weak and this recovery was going to be a b***h. It sort of felt like a cross between the worst hangover ever and doing the Ironman Triathlon or something. The worst part was that the sparks between Carson and I were almost completely gone. I was confident they would come back, just as soon as my magic was charged again. Using so much magic almost did me in, but I was still standing and would be stronger because of it.
