Carson shifted back and someone handed him clothes. The guys were going to wait outside the meadow because Helene wasn’t sure if there would be any fall-out from the spell. Sometimes a spell like this would create a vacuum as the magic was covered and would suck any outside forces into its vortex.
I walked towards Helene and Aria, but before I took two steps Carson pulled me into a tight hug. He laid a blistering kiss on my lips. “Fully charged,” he murmured as he pulled away. I placed a hand on his cheek and stroked it as I handed him my little purple bottle. “Remember, if I pass out, a few drops under my tongue. Tabitha and Doris will know what to do next if that doesn’t work.” He nodded and clutched the bottle, stepping back he went to stand next to Xavier, a worried look on his face.
