I woke up the next morning as the sun started to rise. I’ve always loved mornings with the optimism that comes from a new day. At first, I was hoping I was in a perfect dream, one where my mates scent surrounded me with tingles traveling everywhere. Then I realized it wasn’t a dream and my mate was curled up next to me in her bed, sound asleep. I didn’t exactly remember how we ended up in her bed, but I fell asleep on the couch last night while we were watching our favorite cooking show. Not that it was surprising.
