I knew Adde was a little nervous about meeting everyone, but she smiled broadly as we walked down the stairs. Over the last week before she came, I tried to explain as much as I could about the pack and how it functions so she would feel more comfortable. Dinner was basically a big buffet/family style affair. Many of the pack members ate in their own home, unless it was a special occasion, so there would be around 100 people in the dining room. However, tonight I assumed there would be more since Adde had been around the pack all day and werewolves were nothing if not interested in everyone else’s business. Plus, it wasn’t every day that a ranked member brought their mate to the pack. There was always a bit of anxiety among the pack members—especially with a ranked female joining. Typica
