Later that morning, I woke up alone in Xavier and Aria’s guest room. It didn’t appear that Carson had made it back during the night. Checking my phone, there were no messages from him which I assumed meant Rocco was running around somewhere. Sometimes, I felt like I could almost hear Carson in my head, so just in case I focused on our bond and sent him good morning vibes and said “I love you.” I swear I heard a whisper of his voice saying “I love you,” back to me. I shook it off, figuring it was just my imagination. However, there was a little suspicion in the back of my mind. Since I balanced my magic and Carson marked me, my powers were amplified. Sometimes, I even thought I was becoming a bit of a seer, so I guess mind-linking wasn’t totally out of the question.
