An hour passed before I grabbed my phone off the table to see if she had responded but there weren’t any notifications, I checked the message I sent her to see if it had been read and it said it was read at 9:05 am. I looked at the time and it was 10:25 am. She had read my text an hour and twenty minutes ago but did not respond. She didn’t even let me know if she made it home safely. She left more than four hours ago she should have been home by now. Just as I sat my phone back down on the table it rung and when the caller ID said Casey, I groaned in irritation.
