Three Days Later
A few nights later, I went to hang out with Michael. He hadn’t been around in a while and I needed a break from studying, but Kelsey was working. I was going to go to Manndible’s to watch her work, but I wanted to finish planning the surprise for our In2You date in a couple days. As soon as I sat my phone down, it rung, and I was surprised at the name that flashed on the Caller ID.
“Hello.” I said as soon as I answered the call.
“Hey Elias, it’s Vanessa.” Vanessa said and I waited for her to say something else.
“Hi, Vanessa, what’s up?” I asked her and she remained quiet for a few seconds and then I heard her exhale deeply.
