Chapter 7 When Ryan called me Friday morning to shore up our weekend plans, I suggested that we meet at his place Saturday night instead. My conversation with Clay the night before had me thinking a lot about Ryan and how little I knew about some parts of his life. “You want to come to my apartment?” he asked with a laugh. “Yeah. You come here all the time and I’ve never even seen where you live. We don’t have to spend the night there. I know you have a roommate, but we could have dinner or something.” Ryan was quiet for a few seconds and I thought for sure he’d find some excuse to turn me down, but I was wrong. “Okay, but if you come here, it won’t be for dinner.” He gave me his address and we made plans to meet at his place around seven Saturday night.
