The Escape.

After Kaname had told me his crazy plan he had left to go get things set for the plan and for me to get transferred safely in a hearse to his mansion. I still can’t believe this is how my life has turned out. I am literally running from my husband in fear of getting hurt again. How did I let myself be put into this position in the first place? Almost an hour later Paula knocks on the door, coming in, “Hey sweetheart, I have brought a quarter dosage of pain medication. You’re not quite due yet for medication but Dr. Blackfire wanted this transition to go a little less painful.” “Why would Dr. Blackfire, I mean Kaname, think this will be painful?”, I asked. She tilts her head slightly to the right, stating, “Well he thought the beginning will be alright but the transfer into the hearse might be a little rough for you as we will be joltng you around a bit.” “Oh, okay. That makes sense.”, I said, “I guess this means we will be moving soon?” “Yes, after I give you this medication we will be moving you. Dr. Blackfire will be having one of his guards dressed as a nurse and he will be helping me take you down to the morgue’s garage, where the hearse is waiting.”, Paula told me. Just as she was done speaking there was another knock on the door. Paula said in a slightly raised voice, “Come in!” The door opens up and this five foot nine inches of a man comes walking in. He was on the small built side but still had some muscle. He had a small scar on the side of his eye, about an inch in length. This man had gorgeous golden blonde locks of hair and had vivid golden brown eyes. He comes walking up to my bed, holding out his hand for me to shake, “Hi, my name is Gabriel. I am Kaname’s right hand man. He says we are moving you to his home.” “Hi, I’m Luna and I guess we are.”, I said with a big smile on my face. “I suppose Miss. Paula here gave you some pain meds to help when we move you?”, Gabriel asked. I nodded my head, “She just gave me a small dosage.” “Good!” “Do we want to go over the plan again?”, Paula asked us. “Luna, do you want to go over anything?”, Gabriel asked me. I thought about it for a few minutes, finally responding with, “ No thank you. Let's get this going if we are going to do this.” Paula goes to the top of my bed, pulls a lever and lays the head of the bed flat. I groaned a little in pain as I was laid down flat. My ribs didn’t like the movement very well. I was so focused on what Paula was doing that I didn’t notice Gabriel had gone to the linen closet to grab a blanket. Next thing I knew he was covering me up with the blanket. “I have to put this blanket over your head as we are pretending you are a newly deceased person.”, he stated, “You are more than welcome to fall asleep during this process, even though it won’t be a long one.” I laughed nervously, “I don’t think I will fall asleep but I am ready when you guys are.” “Okay here we go.”, he says putting the blanket over my head, “Now all you have to do is stay still and quiet.” “Okay.” “Are you ready, miss Paula?” Gabriel asked “Yes.”, she responds. I am assuming, since I can’t see anything, that Paula switches off the breaks and starts moving the bed. I hear the door open, as we walk towards it. We go out the door and make a turn to the right. Paula leads us down several halls that I lose track of before we come to an elevator. The ding of the elevator and the door opening alerts me to the fact we are about to enter the elevator. Once we got on the elevator either Gabriel or Paula pushed a button. Next thing I knew the elevator jerks and we start moving downward. We were on the elevator for a full two minutes before the elevator jerked again and the doors opened again. Off the elevator we went and down more halls with more turns. All of a sudden a male authoritative voice shouted, “Stop!” Whoever was pushing the gurney, stopped. “What are you doing with that gurney?”, demanded the male voice. To the left of me I heard Gabriel say, “We were instructed to take this newly deceased male to the morgue.” “Can you please lift the sheet? I am looking for a person and I need to make sure she is not under that sheet.”, asked the voice. Paula clears her throat and says, “I am sorry sir but we are not to remove the sheet as this poor deceased soul has some sort of infectious disease. It’s why we are dressed the way we are, to protect us from the infectious disease.” “Please don’t come any closer as you are not protected.”, added Gabriel. For a moment or two there was no noise or anything. I am guessing the guy who stopped us was debating on letting us go or to continue with his wanting to see the “dead body”. “I guess I will let you guys go then. I don’t want to risk getting any disease.”, The male voice said, “Make sure you guys are careful when moving that body.” “Yes, Sir”, they both said at the same time. After a minute the bed started moving again. Down more halls, making more left and right turns. It felt like we were moving for forever before the bed finally came to a stop again. The blanket gets pulled off of me and I see Paula and Gabriel smiling down at me. Their smiles are so contagious that I gave them both a big smile in return. “We did it!”, I said excitedly. Paula said just as excitedly, “Yes we did!” I looked at Gabriel, “I thought we were caught for a moment there. Nice move on making up some story.” “Thank you. I just needed to get him gone so we could get you out of here.”, said Gabriel. Paula comes to stand next to Gabriel, asking, “What's the next step now Gabriel?”
