Done .. I walked out of the building and immediately pulled out my phone .. Ava answered before the first ring ...well
I kept waking .... well what

An hour later I was sitting on Ava's bed wearing one of her hoodies while she sat opposite me with snacks she absolutely did not plan on sharing
okay she said munching on her chips ... how did the interview go
I sighed ..... I told her about the questions , the people ... the room and how nervous I was at first ... of course I didn't tell her about Cassian public declaration .. cause Ava can be very dramatic
She listened like it was the most important thing in the world ...

I looked at her ...... so . nobody said anything weird

I threw a pillow at her she threw it right back
Then my phone buzzed ... Email unknown number
I frowned Ava noticed immediately her eyes narrowed open it ... I looked at the sender Sterling Enterprise .. Ava looked at me our gaze on each other

She whispered dramatically ..... open it
I opened it ....... Read it then read it again and again then looked up ... Ava stared ...well
i blinked then slowly smiled ... I got the job

Then she screamed.... like actually screamed I nearly dropped my phone .. she jumped off the bed .... wow
I started laughing .... she pointed bat me like I just won the lottery .... you now work at Sterling Enterprise
I looked at the email again this time it felt real and for the first time since I moved to the sterling mansion I had a feeling this job was going to change everything
My first day at Sterling Enterprise started with me nearly walking into the wrong building v... cause to me the two towers looked too identical and like every Multi million dollars companies it has mostly glass walls
and looked very intimidating .... I stood outside for a second , straitened my blazer and said to myself
Scarlet remember you work here now ... work ... you are not here to visit or for an interview .... but you actually work here
that thought alone almost made me run back home ... unfortunately adulthood doesn't really give you that option
by the time I made it to my department everyone else looked like they belonged there ... I did not
A woman named Clara gave me a tour introduced me to half the people on the first floor .... and somehow expected me to remember everyone names .I forgot most of them before lunch time ... by the end of the day my brain felt fried .... by the end of the week I became settled I knew when the coffee machine was ... the most important discovery actually
I learned which elevator was the fastest and I also learnt that office gossip moved more faster than anything on the internet
and discover that shoced me was about Cassian. I always saw him as a certified playboy which of course he is but he is surprisingly very good at his job
by the end of the third week 8 finally felt like u belonged there ... the stares hadn't stopped but I just didn't care .... my work spoke for itself and that was enough... I had learned a lot of people names ... I had. survived countless meetings
you know Maya said as she packed her bag .. you smile a lot more than you did on your first day I looked up from my laptop
Thats probably because I haven't gotten lost in a week
I'll miss the entertainment ... I rolled my eyes and shut my laptop . see you tomorrow she said as she disappeared with the rest of the department .
soon the office was quiet I grabbed my bag and headed for the elevator
Home ... the elevator door slid open with a soft chime and I stepped inside .... just as they were about to close a hand stopped them
