After a while Logan and I decided that to get on with our day and leave the roof. We went down stairs into the kitchen and Logan quickly started to make some sort of breakfast, I sat up on top of the counter and watch him make the breakfast trying to see what he is making. I was relieved that he is cooking pancakes which are probably my favoured thing to eat when I was younger.
Mum and I used to make pancakes every Sunday morning before church, she would let me whisk the batter and add the chocolate chips. She would have the radio on singing along to whatever was on while flipping the pancakes and I just sat on the counter like I am now and just watch absolutely mesmerised by her singing and dancing around the kitchen.
Logan looked over at me with a curious expression on his face.
"What's put a smile on your face?"
I explained to Logan the memory about my mum and the pancakes. Logan started to smile the more I explained the memory to him. He paused for a minute deep in thought then said to me.
"Well how about if we make it a tradition again, not saying it will be every Sunday but I will try that me make pancakes and have music on. But I'm not singing your pretty little ears don't need to hear that"
"I would like that very much, thank you for trying to make me feel comfortable and for everything I don't think I have even said it once to you yet."
Logan put some of the batter in the pan and walked over to me and stood in between my legs as I was still on the counter. He kept staring at me for a while. I knew I had to break this moment, it was going to go somewhere and I wasn't ready for that so I saved the awkward moment by saying
"pancakes are going to burn if you don't flip them soon" giggling as the realization on his face that we been here for a while he quickly moved and went over to the pan and flipped them luckily they weren't burned he looked over to be a faked a sigh of a relief that made me laugh again and this time he smiled and proper laughed which I have herd yet.
After we ate breakfast which was amazing, I didn't realize the difference in taste from when having them at a young age and now, it was way better now then back then. Logan showed be the bathroom and gave me some clothes to change into. I got into the shower, it was the best thing I have ever felt in ages, I could feel all of the stress and all of the weight I have been bottling up that melt away. I used some of Logan soap and shampoo then got out dried off, changed into the clothes and then towel dried my hair. I put the towel in the Landry basket in the corner of the bathroom and went to go find Logan.
I went Logan's room and found him there sitting on the bed talking to someone on the phone, I didn't want to sound like I was listening to him so I made myself look busy and started to look through my purse to see if I had a comb in which I did. I start to brush my hair when Logan got off the phone and called someone else.
"Hey sis can you come over and stay with gabby as I have a meeting" I couldn't hear anymore as he went into his closet but he came out not on the phone so I'm guessing she agreed.
"My sister coming over to stay with you while I'm gone don't worry she is lovely bit weird but lovely" I nodded and carried on brushing my hair. I'm nervous to meet his sister I wonder if she will like me or what if she hates me.
