After the warnings from Dana, Amaya knew that she had to be careful with the way she went about doing things in the pack, when she interacted with the individuals. She was sitting on her bed in her room. Her legs tapping on the floor as she thought about what had happened earlier. Was Hiro something that she didn't know? How come he knew that she was at his door when she went to serve his food? If she could remember correctly, she hadn't knocked the door before Hiro had asked her to come in.
She stood up from the bed. One hand behind her back, the other under her chin. She paced in front of her bed. If Hiro could detect her movements, then it could mean that he must have some clue about her plans in the pack and that's exactly what she didn't want to happen. She wanted to carry out her task smoothly and leave the pack with no interruption.
She thought about how she could find out about his motives. Yet, she didn't want to get close to him as a result of the feelings she always had each time she was closer to him.
She didn't know what it was and she didn't want to know about it. Yet, she wanted to find out if Hiro had any hidden agenda.
"I really don't have any choice here. I need to find out what he is up to. I can't afford to be caught even before I start what I came here for." She whispered. She moved closer to her birth and slid her legs into her flip flop which were meant to be worn in the house. Hopefully, she meets him inside the house.
She looked at the black gown she was putting on. She pouted her lips at the nature of the dress. Dana had given it to her. She had promised to take Amaya to the local market during the weekend as she would be receiving her salary within the week. Amaya didn't have any clothes to wear as she didn't bring anything with her. She had no idea that her stay would be this long.
She walked to her closet which had just the dress she had worn the day she came to Blackwood. There was also a skirt there from Dana.
She took her old t shirt and paired it with the brown skirt that was reaching her knees
When she was done, she moved closer to her mirror and looked at herself. She combed her hair behind with her fingers.
'Is there something you're not telling me?'
Ena peered through Amaya's eyes to the mirror.
Amaya paused with her hand on her head.
"What?" She asked with a slight form of irritation.
'Are you going to see him for other reasons?'
Amaya looked at her reflection in the mirror.
She widened her eyes. Why was she putting much effort on her appearance? She didn't have anything to do with him. He was their mate, but he hasn't made any move towards them. So, what exactly was her problem?
"Looking good is good business" She told Ena and stomped out of her room.
She descended the stairs with quiet steps, although the house was quiet. It seems as though no one was in the house and indeed, there was no one as she looked around the enormous living room.
She took the long and dimly lit corridor that led to the back of the house. It was the same corridor where she had met Hiro last time.
However, she didn't see anyone. She walked further until she could see the bright sunlight outside.
It was sunny and the weather was cool. It was a beautiful day to take a walk around, but she didn't know where to go.
When she came to the end of the corridor, She peeked her head outside and looked at both corners of the house, but she couldn't find anyone. She decided to go back. However a thick puff of dark smoke coming from the right side of the house, caught her attention. Forgetting that her white floor slippers were on her feet, she stepped from the corridor and followed the direction of the smoke. When she reached the end of the wall, she peek her neck in front. She saw a distinct figure standing in front of the smoke. He seemed to be looking at something on the floor.
His left hand was extended in front. He stood in utmost concentration.
He was putting on a white verse over a black pair of black jeans. His white hair cascaded down his back.
The smoke seemed to be increasing. She knew Hiro smoke, but that kind of smoke was not from a cigarette.
She withdrew from the wall. Her heart was beating fast. She contemplated what to do. What was he doing? Was he trying to set himself on fire? Although she didn't see any form of fire, just the smoke. Was he manifesting something?
She cleared her throat and decided to call him. At that moment, she realized that she had never called him by his name. Neither has she ever heard him say her name either. She doubted if he even knew her name.
"Hi..."
"What are you doing there?" She turned around and saw Kazumi, who was standing at the entrance of the corridor.. His dark blue hair was a mess. What was he doing? And he didn't even bother to take care of himself first.
She rolled her eyes. There were different types of people in the world we lived in. Some of them were crazy like Kazumi. Others were weird like Hiro and others extremely wicked like Tobias with no soul.
"Nothing..." She clapped her hands behind her back. "Just taking a look at the beautiful environment..."
"Go clean my room."
He told her and walked away.
"Great" She glanced around and whispered to herself. She had come here with a plan of revenge. Little did she know that she would become the housekeeper of a boy who could only be a few months or one year older than her.
'Alpha my foot' She spat out and walked inside.
'You better not let him hear that' She heard Hiro's voice through the mind link.
It sounded calm and comforting unlike the times he had spoken to her.
She felt something tick between her legs. She stopped at the bottom of the stairs. What was that? She was tempted to lift up her skirt and see what just happened. However, she knew for a fact that she was wet under.
Damn you, Hiro. She clenched her tights and moved up the stairs.
Kazumi was on his bed, when Amaya walked in.
He had his legs crossed , a phone in his hands, his back pressed against his headboard.
Amaya stopped at the door when he looked up at her. He was shirtless. She wondered if he was naked underneath as a white blanket was over his legs.
She quickly averted her gaze, when she noticed that he was looking at her.
The room wasn't even dirty. What exactly did he want her to clean?
"The room is clean," She said with a frown.
"That table isn't clean."
He pointed at his study table, which had a few scattered books and a half glass of water in it.
She cast him one last annoying glance and moved to the table.
"You have been looking at my abs since you stepped into this room."
Kazumi kept his phone next to him and turned to her.
"I don't mind if you want to get down with me. I don't have a mate yet and I guess you don't have one either."
Amaya's hand halted around the glass of wanted. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him.
"You should suit yourself."
She told him. "Wait, was that for me?" He asked with surprise. He got down from the bed.
"You want to lay down?" He questioned.
"I'm not interested."
She ran outside.
"I wasn't interested either. Just playing around. "
He spat and climbed back on his best.
After leaving Kazumi's room, she decided to go to the maze to find Tara. Only she and Dana could give her some relevant information about things in the pack.
The earlier she did her thing and left the pack, the better for her.
She didn't understand what was happening to her. So, it was good that she left early before things got worse.
Ding!
She brought her phone and checked the corners of her pocket.
"You still haven't given me any information about the documents. Is there a chance?"
The text read. It was Kenji.
The boy who had served her eight years ago. If not for him, she didn't know where she had been by now.
Probably dead with her family.
"I will get them. Just give me some time."
She replied and walked to the maze.
She had already memorized where Tara's hut was. So, she went directly to it.
However, why did she like someone was watching her?
She stopped and looked behind her, but there was no one there.
Still, she felt like someone's eyes were on her.
