That night, Amaya decided to go find the girl she had met earlier when she came to the blackwood pack. She needed to get into Tobias house as fast as she could. The earlier she got her revenge, the quicker she would be able to leave. But again, she couldn't stop thinking about the strong pull had experienced earlier. She still had that odd feeling in her.The bond she felt with the two guys who didn't even pay any attention to her.
What exactly was going on? The one with the scar on his face. He was the one who had looked at her like he knew her from somewhere. While the other one with blue hair, didn't and he just walked away.
She couldn't have two mates. There was no way that was happening and if she did, whoever it was, would have to face the same fate as her late family.
With a frown, she walked a hand down her face and started off to the maze.
She couldn't remember the route she had taken that afternoon through the maize. So, she decided to pass through a small and clear entrance that had bright orange lights along its path.
With her eyes scanning the area, she took careful steps in that direction. As proceeded forward, She felt that strong pull.
"That strong scent again, Amaya," Ena whispered as she sniffed the air.
"It's coming from behind the house." She said again, when Amaya didn't respond.
Unconsciously, Amaya followed the direction of the scent so that she could finally see who her mate was, not like it mattered at all to her, but she wanted to.
She immediately stopped, when her hand banged against something hard.
"s**t!" She exclaimed with a frown as she brought her hand to rub the spot she just banged.
However, her leg hit on something and she stumbled behind. Still, she didn't hit the floor as she felt a hand on her waist and another on her lower back, stopping her from hitting the floor.
In that moment, the strong scent she had been perceiving earlier, was now more stronger, almost sophisticating her , making it difficult for her to breathe. She doubted if it was one of those boys she had met before. Kazumi or Hiro. She didn't know which one was who.
Her wolf stirred strongly inside of her. This couldn't be happening. She thought and tried to shake off the odd feelings in her.
She quickly spun around to stop whoever it was, but her breath caught in her throat, when her eyes met with a pair of piercing aqua blue eyes staring down at her like she was a rare piece of diamond that had never existed.
She recognized who it was. The guy with the scare on his face.
"Be careful while you walk around here." His cold and distant voice echoed in the dark.
Amaya furrowed her brows. "I didn't ask you to catch me."
Hiro c****d a brow at her. "Fine then." He let go of her and she fell to the floor.
"Bas..." she wanted to say the words 'bastard', but stopped herself. She stood up and cleaned her clothes.
"You smoke?"
Amaya asked, when she noticed the cigarette between his fingers. Not only that, but there was a green bottle of whatever wine next to him on the floor
"He's pretty cool." Her wolf confirmed. Amaya seized that opportunity to look up at Hiro again.
He was indeed cool. But what happened to his face? Why was it scared like that? Did he get into a fight? Even if it was a fight, it wouldn't be that fresh.
She shook her head. This wasn't any of her business.
"None of your business." That cold voice said again.
She raised her hands up in surrender.
She was about to strode away, when she remembered that, he didn't react to the mate bond. Could there be a problem?
She even expected him to at least say something about the bond, but he just stood there, staring at her without doing anything.
Although she wasn't interested, she was confused.
"Are you the Alphas' son?" She asked Hiro who had gone back to smoking like she wasn't there.
She had seen two guys earlier, so she doubted which one belonged to Tobias because that one will surely suffer the same fate as his father.
Hiro removed the cigarette from his mouth and stared at Amaya.
"Yes, I am. Is there a reason why you ask that question?"
He blew out a puff of smoke in the air and stared back at her
"No. There is no specific reason as to why I asked the question."
She said with bitterness in her heart.
So, the Alpha had a son who had grown this much, while her brother was in the soil somewhere, with his bones probably rotten.
She wondered what her brother would look like, if he was still alive.
If her entire family was alive, they would have been happy together as they have been doing, but that never happened because the father of this guy standing right in front of her, had taken that away from her.
The thought of that made her eyes turn red. That incident flashed in her memory.
A tear almost dropped down from her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away.
"I'll just get going."
she said and sped off towards the maze.
' I have told you and I'll tell you again; revenge will never be the better option. You should just let all this go.'
Ena tried to reason with Amaya.
However, Amaya wasn't in the mood to argue with her.
She had told her earlier that, if she wasn't ready to support her, she should stand aside.
She had made up her mind and there was no turning back. She would not get rest until Tobias, his sons and every member in his pack was down.
She stood at the entrance of the maze. It had many tiny entrances. She wondered which one to take.
Her head snapped to the left, when she heard two voices laughing in the distance. She rushed towards them.
She hurried towards the girls who had stopped talking when they heard footsteps coming in their direction.
She went on to ask if they knew Tara.
"Hello, Good evening."
She called out with a soft and calm voice.
The girl closest to her spun around. A smile lit up on Amaya's face, when she saw whom she was looking for.
" Please, can you excuse me for a moment?"
She nodded and waved at the girl she was standing with.
"You remember me from earlier, right? I am the girl..."
"I know . You don't have to introduce yourself."
The girl glanced up at her.
"Well, you didn't tell me your name."
Amaya sent her hand and rubbed her neck.
"I'm called Aiko. You can call me Aiko." She emphasized.
The girl nodded as she stared at Amaya up front like she could sense that she was hiding something.
" All right. I am called Tara you."
" So, I was wondering if perhaps you have any idea on how I can into the Alpha's house."
Tara gave Amaya a skeptical look.
" Hey, hey! It's not like that okay. I meant that, if you want to get there like a house help, a cook and all, how can you do it ? I have a friend who is really in need of these kinds of jobs. I wanted to ask for your help."
Tara nodded in understanding.
"I see. You can only get a chance by being a maid to the new Alpha; Kazumi. That's if he he hasn't gotten one yet "
"Okay thank you. I really appreciate it. I will let her know tomorrow."
'Such a sweet lie. I hope that you don't regret your decision.'
Ena grumbled and Amaya shook her head.
"Would you mind if I crash here tonight with you? I will leave early tomorrow morning."
Tara looked at Amaya and nodded to her request.
"You can follow me."
Amaya walked behind her.
As they went on, her Phone rang in her back pocket.
She took it out and read the text from Kenji.
" How is it going?"
"Almost done."
she replied and followed Tara.
