Things falling in place

"I hope you know exactly how much this means to me. You should not mess this up. You are now the new Alpha of this pack and I expect you to do your best and put everything in order."

David lectured Kazumi as they stood in his room.

Kazumi was standing at his window looking at the night sky, while David stood behind him.

" You don't have to remind me, father. I know what I should do and what I should not do. My uncle has been Alpha for years. I have been by him to see how things are being done. I don't need any reminders from you." Kazumi peeled his gaze away from the sky and turned to his father with a dark gaze.

He wouldn't have been here if he didn't give him those conditions, if his father just accepted him.

He didn't understand why his father was doing what he was doing. He had to use his own son as bait.

"You can leave now. I want to have some rest."

He walked to the large mahogany bed position at the center of the room and sat on it.

" I am glad you understand all of this. I will leave you then."

David opened the door and made his way outside.

Kazumi released a breath as he looked at the door closing in front of him.

He leaned into the bed, his hands supporting his weight from behind. His head raised as he looked up to the ceiling

This was not supposed to be his position.

All these belong to Hiro.

He wasn't the rightful owner. He brought his eyes down from the ceiling and glanced around the room.

He shook his head.

"Not my fault that all these happened."

He shrugged. " I will have to enjoy while it last.Not everyday you have the opportunity to enjoy things like this."

He stood up from his bed and look around the room.

It was the same room he and Hiro had been playing inside when they were young.

However, the room looked a bit different now because they had rearranged everything and set it up to standard. Probably for the Alpha. He thought and took steps further.

The walls were painted white, the floor had a big white hairy rugged spread over it.

It felt warm and cozy.

He took his black coat off his body and hung it on a chair that was next to the table.

He made his way to the bathroom and a few minutes later, he re-entered his room.

He changed into a pair of green cotton shorts and a black t-shirt.

Just as he was about to open the door, someone opened from outside.

He stepped back inside the room. The door swung opened and Alpha Tobias peek his head inside.

"Good evening, Alpha." Kazumi lowered his head in respect.

"I wasn't expecting you to see you."

Tobias cleared his throat and looked at him.

" I know you must be surprised at what happened earlier."

Ofcourse, he was surprised. But not really suprised. He wondered why Alpha Tobias had agreed to what his father had told him.

"Well, that has already happened. I hope that you will be able to stand up as a man, not only as a man but as an Alpha who is ready to lead and protect this pack in case of any dangers."

Unable to look up because of Tobias piercing gaze, Kazumi nodded his head and said "of course, Alpha. I will do my best to keep the pack in order. I will make sure not to disappoint you.'

Tobias didn't respond to that. He looked at Kazumi upfront. " Make sure to visit the maze tomorrow and pick a maid for yourself."

A maid? Kazumi raised a furrowed brow. He needed a maid as everyone else in this house, but what kind of maid will he choose? He wasn't fond with the female gender and he didn't know why.

"Can I pick a male maid?"

"Get a maid, boy!" Tobias groaned and walked away.

"You might be lucky to pick your mate" His wolf whispered in excitement.

Kazumi just shook his head and went to bed

The next morning, Amaya woke up from the little hut she had slept with Tara the previous night.

It wasn't that bad. It had little sizable beds in it.

At least five people could share a room there.

Where she slept with Tara, they were four other girls whom didnt really talk much to her.

There were small five sizable bed that fitted each and everyone of them.

They had a place for their clothes, a small section for the kitchen and a bath which wasn't that bad at all.

However, she wondered why this group of people had to be in the maze.

She understood that, they were workers but at least a place in the pack house would have been better rather than staying in a maze.

A snake could easily crawl out of the flowers into one of the huts while they were asleep.

She didn't even want to think about it because that was not what she came here for.

She just needed ways to get into the Alpha's house, exact her revenge and leave immediately.

" It's time for work. Everyone should line up in front of the maze." A voice yelled outside of the hut

At that moment, a general bell rang outside of the maze.

It was usually done so every 9:00 a.m. in the morning to remind them that they had to go in for work.

They quickly got themselves ready to start the day. As the other girls went out, Tara turned to Amaya.

"You might be lucky to meet Alpha Kazumi this morning. He will come to the maze to pick a maid for himself."

"That's a nice one." She shrugged and they made their way outside. She would be happy if she got inside of that house.

Although Amaya was nervous, she was ready. A day has never gone by, without her being nervous. At times, she would wonder if what she was doing was the right thing. However, each time she thought about her family, that anger came back.

They stood in lines as the Alpha approached, accompanied by Kazumi, Hiro and David

When they were finally closed, the kids bowed their heads and greeted "good morning, Alpha."

Tobias didn't respond as he looked around the crowd. They were all use to it.

"I am still you Alpha, but from today henceforth..."

He turned his head towards Kazumi.

"Kazumi will be your Alpha." He continued. "He is here to get a maid. If there is anyone willing to work for him, that person should step forward?"

As the kids whispering amongst themselves, Kazumi stirred at the crowd.

In that moment, his eyes stopped in a particular direction when he saw a boy almost his age staring directly at him.

Although they were not close, he could see a dark mark which looked like a birth mark on the left side of his eyebrows.

He was about to point at the guy, when Amaya steps in front.

" I am ready to take on this job if you will let me. I promise to do my best."

She looked at Kazumi who was also staring at her.

"I guess I should go then."

Hirp cleared his throat and before anyone could say anything, He turned and walk away

"She is not bad. I will go with her"

Kazumi announced.

Amaya turned to the crowd and spotted Tara. She waved at her.

Amaya nodded and walked away.

She had an unsettling feeling about all that, but she was glad everything was starting to fall in place.
