Weird people

Amaya couldn't stop glancing at every corner in the Alpha's house as they got inside.

The house wasn't that bad at all. She thought to herself. Sad thing was, they will soon leave all of this behind.

"Dana will tell you everything you need to know as long as this work is concern."

Tobias voice brought Amaya back to reality. She spun around and stared at him standing below the stairs that let up to the top floor.

Since she had come to this pack, she hasn't stood this close to him.

As she looked at him, she noticed he hadn't changed even for a bit.

The thought annoyed her such that, if she had any supper powers, she could have dealt with him right there and ended everything.

"Okay, no problem." She answered respectfully.

"I will leave you to it." He pointed at Kazumi before walking up the stairs.

That's when Amaya realized that, Kazumi was in the room and one more thing, she didn't feel the pull she felt around Hiro, which only meant that, Hiro was her mate.

But why hasn't he said anything yet? Didn't he want her as his mate? Or he had no idea at all?

Or was she just feeling things?

"Where is the other guy and what happened to his face"

She asked, her eyes glaring at Kazumi whose gaze was fixed on his phone.

"Why don't you go ask him?" He retorted and walked past her

Amaya scratched her neck as she stared at his retracting back.

"What am I supposed to do now?"

She asked wondering. She was here to work for him and he was acting like she wasn't even there in the room.

"Go find Dana" Was all Kazumi said and walked away.

Go find Dana. Who was Dana?

She didn't even know her way around the pack neither did she know anyone around here.

However, she wasn't about to let anyone know that. If she did, then her cover may blow.

So, she turned around to walked outside. She bumped into someone when she reached the door.

"I'm sorry." She stepped behind and apologized.

The lady who just enter looked at her up front, with furrowed brows.

"Do I know you?" She asked.

'Ofcourse, you don't. Neither do we know you" Ena whispered.

"I'm sorry. I was asked to look for Dana." She quickly said in order to avoid whatever question the lady with a big flared brown gown on her body could ask.

"I'm Dana." She walked past Amaya and she followed.

Thankfully.

Soon, they were inside the kitchen.

"Why are you looking for me?" She asked as she said the basket of vegetables on the sink.

"Well..."

Amaya looked around. "I'm Aiko, the maid assigned to Kazumi. He asked me to..."

"Alpha Kazumi." Dana quickly corrected her.

"Hmm okay." She shrugged and walked over to help fixed them.

"He told me to see you."

"First .."

Dana swung a bag of tomatoes into the sink and turn to face Amaya.

"Do not do anything to provoke him. And becareful not to stand in Hiro's way."

"Infact, if it's possible stay out of their way. The only thing you're required to do, is to serve Kazumi, clean his room, clothes and all of that."

Dana said with warning in her voice.

"Who takes care of Hiro?"

"He had a maid. But he sent her away. That was a long time ago. Since then, he hasn't had anyone even when he was proposed to have someone, he denied it. But as I have told you, stay away from him."

Amaya nodded her head and continue with what she was doing. Still, she had to ask where her room was so that she could prepare even though she didn't bring anything with her.

"Do you perhaps have any idea where my room is or where I will be staying?"

Dana looked at the door

" There's an empty room next to Kazumis'. I think that is where you shall be staying."

She told her and continue with her work.

No one had to know why she was there

Only her wolf even though she was trying to make her change her mind about her plans.

Yet, there was no way she would do that.

She had already make up her mind and she will fulfill her plans.

She would do that for her family, for her Pack and all the time she would have spent with her parents but Tobias took that away from her.

Talking about Tobias, she lifted her head from the vegetable she was chopping and look up at Dana.

"What is Tobias like? I haven't heard about his Luna ever since I came here and where exactly does he usually go to?"

Amaya asked curiously.

"I don't think that is something you really want to know. You should focus on why you are here and stop poking your nose on things that do not concern you."

Of course, she was right. She should only focus on why she was here and that was to get revenge. However, she needed to know more about this pack.

Amaya nodded and went back to work.

She spent the rest of the day walking around the pack house looking at places that could be of interest to her

If the worst came to the worst and she had to leave or run for her life, she had to know exactly which way she would take and that is why she spent the whole day looking around.

However, she couldn't help to think about Hiro the entire time.

One thing she didn't understand was why she was constantly thinking about him.

Although Hiro had never met any advanced towards her or say anything concerning the mate bond.

"Yeah you should quickly set up the dining table before the family come down here. If you don't do that in time, they shall be trouble. "

Amaya didn't understand why Dana had to say that but she immediately took to her instructions.

She took the bowl of food that she had prepared and went with it to the living room, where she placed them on the dining table.

After about 10 minutes of arranging the dinning table and putting everything in place, Alpha Tobias, David followed by Hiro and Kazumi walked into the living room.

"You don't have to stand close to them."

Dana nudged Amaya on the side and she immediately took a step backwards.

"Kazumi will do a great job as an Alpha."

David smiled to himself as he pulled a bowl of food in front of him.

Kazumi shook his head as he looked at his father.

The quietness on the table was weird and Amaya wondered what was going on.

Hiro's attention was fixed on his food. He hadn't even touch it.

Kazumi kept grinding his teeth. "Is there a problem?"

Tobias asked lifting his head up.

"Maybe they are having some conversation with themselves."

David replied.

"Hey, come over here. Get me something else to drink." Kazumi waved at Amaya with a dark look on his face.

He pushed the bottle of wine in front of him to the side.

Amaya c****d her brow. Was he referring to her in that manner?

"What are you still standing there for?" He roared.

"Be quick ". Dana whispered to her.

Wasn't it enough that, they had to stand here and watch them eat? Amaya thought as she took sluggish steps to the table.

"Aiko and not Hey. My name is Aiko" she repeated.

She extended her hand to take the bottle of wine, but Kazumi held her hand.

"Do I have to remind you what position I stand in this pack?"

He glared at like he wanted to tear her apart. Amaya only raised a brow like she was daring him to go ahead.

She had seen worse and there was nothing she was afraid of, not even the Alpha king Tobias who was staring at them with fury.

"Of course not,Alpha Kazumi. I just told you politely what my name is."

She gave him a mocking smile.

'Show some respect and do as you are told'

Amaya stopped, when she head a voice in her head. It was a mind link. 'Did you say something to me, Ena.'

She asked wondering. Her wolf didn't have that deep and masculine voice. So then, who could it belong to?

'No. I didn't' Ena answered with curiosity.

Amaya looked around the table, wondering who might have mind linked her. She paused when she met Hiro's gaze. He nodded his head at her, telling her to let go.

'Righy now.' He mind link her again.

Amaya shook her head and immediately seize her hand away from Hiro.

Aside from her late father, no voice has ever been this authoritative to her.

A voice that demanded immediate submission.

Wait!

Did he know? Did he know that she was his mate?

Amaya silently nodded and left with the bottle of wine.

What was going with her and with the people in this house?

Everything was weird.
