Chapter 13. Amaya had decided to take a nap that afternoon when she heard Hiro's mind link. "Just when I needed to sleep." She grumbled sitting up from her bed, waiting for Hiro to tell her why he mind linked her. If she could mind-linked him, she would have asked him why he was disturbing her just when she wanted to take a nap. "No lunch for me today?" She frowned. She had gone to his room earlier to ask if she could bring his food, but no one was there and she left. And she did that when no one was around. And right now, she could tell that Tobias was in the house and Kazuni was in his room. Was he trying to get her into trouble? "I want my lunch right now and be quick about it." Wow! She stood up from her bed and made her way to the kitchen. She leaned against the kitchen island and looked at the pots on the stove. She would have asked Dana to go serve him on her behalf, but she left early in the morning to go visit her family. She contemplated going. What if she got caught? She would be the one in trouble and not him. And again, if she didn't get to him, it would be another trouble. She dished the food and placed it on a silver tray, with a bottle of water she had taken from the fridge. She put it on the tray and walked away. With the tray in her hands, she made her way to his room, her ears being attentive, her eyes scanning the environment in order to make sure not to be caught. She stopped once she was at his door. Her heart beat increased as she stood there. Those feelings from earlier, came through her. She started feeling hot, tiny beads of sweat form on her forehead. She took in a few deep breaths and knocked on his door. "Come in." A sleepy voice called out from Hiro's room. She pushed the door open and found Hiro in his bed. He was sleeping. The side of his face which was scared was facing her. She also noticed that, each time she saw him, his scares always looked fresh What had given him that scar? What was his story? Whom did he wrong that he had to acquire such a nasty scar which never seemed to be healing? "What happened..." "Are you going to place the tray down and leave or would you rather stand there and stare at me? Haven't you seen someone with a face like this before?" She slowly shook her head at his last sentence. Still, she couldn't take her eyes off him. He was dangerously handsome from the side of his face that wasn't scared. She wondered what he would look like if that scare wasn't on his face. His thin pink lips, that never had a smile on it, a firm nose, deep blue eyes. White long hair which was always up in a ponytail. She doubted if that was the color of his hair or he had dyed it to his desired color. "Did you even hear what I just said? Do you want to be caught by my father or brother?" He asked with a stern voice, making Amaya silently flinch. She brought up her hands to her face and stared at them. They were sweaty. Not only her hands, but her body as a whole. There was a strange reaction within her. She stood still, staring at Hiro in the eyes. It was like he had a certain charm in him that had her glued in her position. She couldn't move. Her mind kept telling her to move forward to him. Her body was itchy. A hunger of something wafted in her. She clenched her tights together, her brain refusing to function. Hiro stood up from his bed and slid his long slender legs to his slippers. He took a step towards her. Still, she hadn't made any reaction to move. Her eyes were on his face. He had taken note of her reaction. He didn't understand either why would she be looking at him in that manner? "Are you okay?" He leaned over, both of his hands on his knees. He was taller than her, so he did that to be at eye level with her. Amaya still didn't respond. Hiro looked into her eyes, they seemed to have turned red. Was she about to cry? But he didn't do anything to her. He looked around his room, maybe there was something that frightened her. Yet, there was nothing. He didn't keep any scary things in his room. All the scary things he had were inside of him, something he never wanted anyone to find out. It was destructive. It was his secret. Not even his father knew about it. "Hiro" She called out and finally blinked her tears. She sent her hand to the side of his face that wasn't scared. Hiro stood up and glanced at her. What was she doing? Yet, he couldn't push her hand away. The inside of her hand was soft against his skin. He looked at the length of her hand, up to her face. "Are you okay, Girl?" He didn't even know her name. But her touch? Her touch. It wasn't ordinary. He had had a lot of girls touch him, but who was she? Why did he find her touch different? "What is your name?" His eyes rested on her lips. They looked soft. That thought made him licked his lips. "Aiko." She whispered like all her breath her bit taken away from her Just then, her eyes widened in realization. It was as though, thr spell she was under had been casted out. "I'm sorry, I have to go." She stomped out of the room. Hiro tilted his head to the door. He touched the side of his face where her hand was. He shook his and went back to bed. "Is someone chasing you?" Amaya stopped when she noticed Kazumi standing in front of her with a skeptical look on his face, his hands behind his back. "Nothing." She said and wanted to walk past him, but he stood in her way. "Are you sure it's nothing?" "Y..yes, it's nothing." "Okay then. I need you in my room in a few minutes." She looked at him like he had just told her something he wasn't supposed to. "A few minutes." He told her and left. Amaya spun around to look at his retracting back. See him in his room? She rushed to her room. She has been sweating a lot lately. She needed a fresh afternoon bath. While in the shower, she couldn't stop thinking about what had happened in Hiro's room. What was wrong with her? What did she just do? She was not supposed to get close or feel something for the guy she was probably going to kill or something. She was not supposed to. She kept reminding herself as she stood under the shower. Yet, she couldn't stop thinking about him. After her bath, she made her way to Kazumi's room. She almost wished that she had some super powers that she could use to kill him. He had called her to come and wash a pair of black slippers he had worn outside. Wasn't that something he could do by himself? Was he that lazy? How could a lazy guy stand as the Alpha? She thought. "Here." She presented them to him. She had taken them to the washroom which had a tape in it. "Take it to my closer." Ofcourse. She Walked and kept it there. With that, she hurried outside. Down the stairs, she met with Tobias. "Young lady. I remember we haven't had a proper talk since you came here." Amaya squinted her eyes with a slide frown, when she spotted Tobias on the dinner table. "Make sure to see me before the day comes to an end." Nice one. Amaya grumbled, but nodded to him and then walked away.
