Chapter Thirty-SixThe moment we stepped out of Roland's office, Barbara dragged Vincent to the side and spoke close to his ear, words too low for me to catch. Valerie sat behind her desk, attacking her keyboard. Diggy headed for the elevators, glanced up at the number nine atop the closed doors before moving to the stairs. Roland and Zantry stayed back in the office, and I found myself alone in the middle of the lobby, unsure of what to do or where to go.
