Thalia couldn't believe it had actually worked. Wind whipped past her face as their horses thundered through the woods, tree branches slapping at her arms and legs. Her heart was still racing, adrenaline making everything feel sharp and unreal. Dante's wild laughter echoed ahead of her, loud and manic and completely unhinged. The sound made her wonder just how insane the man really was. She still didn't know how they'd all agreed to this. When Dante had said they were going to escape the Sharia pack, Sylvia had finally spoken up. "What the hell do you think you're saying?" Gareth frowned, looking pained. "I can't believe I'm saying this but Sylvia is right." Sylvia glared at him. "Was that necessary?" Dante held up both hands. "Relax. I've got this. All you need to do is trust me."
