Nathan drew his hand back, his face red. It would be the first time she would ever see him blush. “Nothing,” he whispered, his voice lower than he intended it to. He cleared his throat. “I was just arranging your hair.” Rosie sat up slowly, wrapping her arms around her legs as she scooted back to make space for him on the couch. Seeing her intention, Nathan stood, then settled beside her. “Hi,” Rosie muttered, tucking her hair behind her ears. “How long have you been watching me sleep?” He glanced at her, his eyes shifting to her exposed legs before quickly glancing away. Nathan gulped. Why was she always naked? “I wasn’t watching you sleep,” he tried to explain. “I just came in, and I was going to speak to you…” he paused, a little embarrassed. “You know what? We can talk tomorrow.”
