There was a short knock on Rosianna's door. She set her tablet aside and straightened in her seat, her hands out in front of her.
"Come in."
The department manager poked his head in first before slowly walking inside. His hands were locked in front of him, his head lowered to the ground. He dared not look Rosianna in the eye.
"Thank you for coming this early, Mr. Bone. Can I see the material?"
Mr. Bone was shocked. He couldn't remember Ms. Hunter thanking anyone for intruding in her space. He quietly handed her the folder that took him a whole night to assemble. Her expression was blank as usual, but she didn't seem too displeased.
Rosianna reviewed the files in silence, carefully turning each page as she read. He stood there, legs trembling with fear. He hated being this close to her
