God's Incarnation

Episode 3 - Icy Situation

Maki was first to arrive at the sparring stadium. Many students of different races were seen scattered around talking and some were sparring. A three-man group of Dragonewts saw Maki, who just arrived and sat into a corner in a daze, saw him and approached him. A Dragonewt is a hybrid race born from a Human and a Dragon. Although Dragons are big and gigantic, adult dragons can use shapeshifting magic. Then it would be possible to breed with other small races like the Humans. Dragonewts have pointy horns protruding upwards from their foreheads. The number of horns indicates the number of elemental magic they can use. A single horn or Unihorn would mean that the offspring would inherit either of the parent's element. Two horns or Bihorn would be both the parents' element. And a rare Trihorn, three horns, would mean that aside from the parents' elemental magic, the offspring would have a random element that he can also use. The Dragonewts that approached Maki were only Unihorns..

Unihorn 1: Hey you!

Maki: (looks up) Uhh? Me?

Unihorn 2: Duh?! Is there anybody else around here who is sulking in a corner like you? Of course it's you! Are you and i***t or something?

Unihorn 3: First time seeing you around here, bub? You new here?

Maki: Oh, uhh, yeah. I just transferred earlier today and got into trouble. I was sent here for a sparring battle or whatever you call it.

Unihorn 2: Oh, a transferee. I see.

Unihorn 1: No, you can't see you i***t! (removes Unihorn 2's blindfold)

Unihorn 2: AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! My eyes! The light burns! NOOOOOOOO!!!!! My eyes!!!!!!!

Unihorn 3: Serves you right, doofus! I told you not to play Dark Souls. That game ain't even a game. No matter what you do, you will keep dying. Seeing that "YOU DIED" message over and over again traumatized me.

Unihorn 1: Shut up! (slaps Unihorn 2 to wake him up from his delusional inferno) Sorry about that. Now, on to the main part. Since you're new here its most likely that you don't know the school rules here.

Maki: Actu-

Unihorn 2: Shhhhh! Don't interrupt when someone is going out of their way to explain to you some important rules here. This will be your one and only warning. I'll smack you if you interrupt again.

Unihorn 3: Yeah! I'll smack your cheeks with my lips! AH AHAHA AHAHA A- Uhh?

Unihorn 1: Seriously? Do you even have lips?

Unihorn 2: That's not even the point of the problem!

Maki: Ugh. (facepalm) I'm out of here. (quietly slips away)

As Maki was slipping away from the three idiots, he felt a piercing gaze from out of nowhere. When he tried to find the one staring at him, the piercing gaze feeling suddenly disappeared. Maki calmed down and continued trying to find another spot but keeping in mind that someone or something is being wary of him. As Maki was about to sit, a sudden announcement echoed through the sparring stadium. Attention all students! Attention all students! Please clear sparring area number five. I repeat, please clear sparring area number five. The Sparring Stadium has an area of one hectare. For a convenient comparison, one hectare is equal to ten thousand square meters and an average football field is about six thousand square meters. The Sparring Stadium had six sparring areas with various shapes, sizes and adjustable terrain so that all races can have sparring matches with a feel of realism to it. Shortly, another announcement was made when the sparring area number five was cleared. Calling the attention of Mr. Maki Montaire. Calling the attention of Mr. Maki Montaire. Please proceed to sparring area number five. I repeat, please proceed to sparring area number five. Some students where baffled on the announcement because before a sparring match occurs, it would be first announced to the whole student body via live announcement and/or bulletin board post. Maki went ahead and entered sparring area. When the students saw Maki, murmurs and whispers filled the sparring area. Some got confused because they don't know anyone named Maki Montaire. Some girls thought Maki was just average and just didn't care about the event. Some boys laughed at Maki's build because he's somewhat thin despite having an average body. Most of the murmurs and whispers that spread the area was mostly criticism because Maki really looked weak. Although he had a nonchalant face and wore plain P.E. attire, his posture was slouching a little which is a sign of weakness. But when Maki's opponent entered the area, the students couldn't believe to what they saw. An Elf, no, she must be the most beautiful Elf that they have ever seen in their whole lives. Aerolith entered the sparring area also wearing plain P.E. attire, but the size the was available was one size smaller that her so it was a little tight for her, especially in her chest. Aerolith's sexy physical features were shown quite clearly. Some virgin geeks had nosebleed and and passed out because the stimulation was too much for them. Beastmen with feral characteristics suddenly howled at the stimulation they saw. Some girls were irritated and clobbered the howling Beastmen. Just the appearance of Aerolith brought chaos and mayhem to the sparring area. Maki and Aerolith saw Ms. Swanna hovering to the center of sparring area and released her skill to cool down the entire area.

Ms. Swanna: Hmmm...I guess thirty percent coldness should be just about right. WINDICE!

Cold air suddenly wafted around the area and the chaotic students were immediately cooled down. Some with weaker cold resistance passed out too. Ms. Swanna was clearly showing off her powers to her new students because she closed her eyes while continuing to cast her WINDICE. Aerolith saw Maki unaffected but was more worried about the students passing out one after another and decided to approach Ms. Swanna. She too was slightly feeling the cold and as she approached Ms. Swanna, the more colder she felt. When Aerolith reached halfway through, she was nearing her limit and was about to pass out. But suddenly, the cold feeling disappeared. She looked up and then saw Maki talking to the panicking and crying Ms. Swanna. Aerolith then lost consciousness. A teacher from the next area came to the sparring area number five because he felt the cold anomaly. He came to investigate the source only to find out a crying Ms. Swanna. He also looked around and saw that the students were injured due to the cold anomaly and ordered the other able bodied students to take all the injured out of the area and send them to the infirmary and also leave the sparring area. He then saw Maki but instead of talking to him, he shouted.

Teacher: Hey you! What do you think your doing to your teacher, huh?! Were you the one who caused this scene?!

Maki: Sir, I-

Teacher: Silence! How dare you lay a hand on your own teacher. I'll discipline you with my own hands! AAAAAA!!!!(releases aura)

Maki: (sigh) Not again.

The teacher released his aura and it exuded great heat. Even though the teacher released his hot aura, he was still level-headed enough to care for the surrounding people and controlled the temperature to at least sixty degrees Celsius or a hundred and forty Fahrenheit. As the teacher was about to attack Maki, Ms. Swanna noticed the increased temperature and snapped out of her panicked state. When she looked up, it was also the time that the teacher upfront launched himself to attack Maki. With having her state returned to normal, her fast reflexes acted out. 

Teacher: BLAZE PUNCH!!!!

Ms. Swanna: CRYOSNARE!!!!

A snare made of pure ice materialized from Ms. Swanna and went to capture the launching teacher. Although the teacher had a fire element and is a natural enemy of ice element users, Ms. Swanna's ice was colder and stronger so the heat emanating from the teacher was not hot enough melt her ice. 

Teacher: W-What?! Ms. Swanna?! W-Why would you stop me?!

Ms. Swanna: I could ask you the same thing Mr. Chickenjoy. (spoken in a mocking voice) Why are you attacking my new student?! (slowly freezing the teacher's body)

Teacher: M-Mr. Chi-Chickenjoy?! How dare you mock me, Gaseous Lavabo! 

Although he shouted and increased his output, he was still not powerful enough to melt Ms. Swanna's cryosnare. 

Ms. Swanna: Struggle all you want. You can't deny that I'm more powerful that you, Mr. Chickenjoy.

Mr. Gaseous Lavabo was a 6 foot tall Beastman, red hair that resembles a rooster, red, fiery eyes, with a muscular body. Mr. Lavabo's lineage was that of a Phoenix but due to the hundred thousand year peace and various interspecies mating. The once dignified and legendary Phoenix blood became so impure that it devolved into a chicken. Beastmen also has the shapeshifting ability but unlike the dragons, they can only change to a Humanoid form. Mr. Lavabo's proficiency in the shapeshifting ability is still somewhat incomplete because instead of having feet in the Humanoid form, he still has his chicken feet. Although Ms. Swanna calls him Mr. Chickenjoy, some teachers who really mocks him calls him Mr. Adidas. (Look at the Adidas Logo and compare it to a chicken's footprint.) 

Ms. Swanna: Stop struggling and tell my the reason why you were about to attack my new student.

Mr. Lavabo: I wasn't attacking him. I was going to discipline him because I felt a cold anomaly coming from here and investigated. When I arrived, I saw you the student bullying you and making you cry.

Ms. Swanna: Oh...that. (releases Mr. Lavabo from his bindings). I guess I owe you an apology there, Mr. Lavabo. It was I who caused the anomaly. Please forgive me.

Mr. Lavabo: It's alright, we all make mistakes. But how did you make such a beginner's mistake? 

Ms. Swanna: Well, as embarrassing as it may be, I misjudged the situation and tried to show off to my two new students of my professionalism and ended up with...well...this circumstance.

Mr. Lavabo: Wait. Two new students? Where's the other one?

Ms. Swanna: Oh she's right over the-...(sudden cold sweats after seeing the knocked out Aerolith)

Mr. Lavabo: Oh...Well, good luck about that Ms. Swanna. (tidies himself up) I'm sorry too, boy. (hurriedly leaves the room as if running away from something).

Maki: Hey, Ms. Swanna? Why is Mr. Lavabo leaving in a hur-....oh. Okay.

The reason why Mr. Lavabo was leaving the area in a hurry because all the teachers in school knew that when Ms. Swanna panics beyond self control, she has the power to instantly freeze an entire sparring area. Maki immediately realized that this is a life threatening event. It was a good thing that Mr. Lavabo ordered the students to leave the area and send the injured to the infirmary first because it would be really difficult for him to handle all of this alone while keeping his powers in check. When Maki was about to leave the room, he saw Aerolith lying down halfway across Ms. Swanna. There was no time to lose so he used his a power a little bit, within bare minimum. But Ms. Swanna suddenly became agitated and released all the pent up energy she amassed earlier. Maki shielded Aerolith, exposing his back to the brunt force of the ice-cold explosion. Ms. Swanna lost consciousness leaving Maki and Aerolith frozen in place. Although Maki was frozen, he was still conscious inside the ice confinement as the cold did not bother him anyway.

Maki: Ow! That really hurt. Damnit! Huh? This familiar sensation?! Don't tell me. (looks at his hand) Oh shi-! Not again!!! I'm sorry Ms. Aerolith but I can't do anything in this situation. Ugh! I have to say though, this kind of situation is not that bad. (getting aroused) Ahem. Anyway, I wonder if Mr. Lavabo called the rescue and medical team when he went out earlier. If I forcefully break through this casing, it might attract some unnecessary attention. And you my little boy down there, don't you ever betray me and stand up without my permission. We'll really be in big trouble if you stand attention right here. I maybe a healthy young man but don't you dare make trouble for me. And what's with this erotic position?! This is really the worst first day of school of my life! Oops, I have to calm down. Too much blood circulation may excite my rod there. But now that I see her up close, I have to admit, she is rather quite cute. Wait, seriously? I'm having a throbbing sensation now? But it seems weird. Why do I feel two throbbing sensations? (Looks down) OH MY GOD!!!! Why did you betray me buddy?! WHY?!?!?!?! Damn, I really have to calm down. Wait a minute. Her face seems like. (Noticing something about Aerolith's face changing color)

 But seeing Aerolith getting paler by the second got worried that at the rate the situation was going, the Elf is going to die in her sleep. Maki decided to use a bit of the sigil's power to give some life force back to the unconscious Elf. Maki let out a sigh of relief when the Elf's pale face was slowly regaining their normal colors back. Ten minutes later, the unconscious Elf's breathing became normal. Maki noticing this decided to just wait for the rescue team to come. But it would be questionable if he was fine even after being incased inside the popsicle so he thought of faking his injuries. Twenty minutes passed by and the rescue team arrived, albeit a little late. A normal Human can survive thirty minutes under freezing conditions. But Elves are naturally weaker to cold conditions so it would have been really fatal for the sleeping beauty given the stiffy situation. Maki feigned unconsciousness when the rescuers found them and stopped giving life force to Aerolith. Maki lowered his heart beat to about fifty five beats per minute, enough to make the medical rescuers think that Maki got hit by the icy explosion rather hard while protecting the Elf. But the personnel who rescued Maki couldn't quite understand about Maki's state. Although he was unconscious, his staff of justice was standing in full, unrestrained attention. The personnel just let it be and sent both, Aerolith and Maki, to the infirmary. Ms. Swanna woke up after first aid was ministered to her but knocked out again before another explosion occurs.  

The reason why Ms. Swanna easily gets panicked is because when she was young, her parents immediately scolds her no matter how small the mistake was. This planted a trauma in her subconsciousness and made her unknowingly think that making a mistake is unforgivable. That's why Ms. Swanna gets a nervous breakdown easily.
