Episode 10 - Who?

Mr. Lavabo then waited for thirty minutes before checking up the student's progress. He sat on his chair and thought about the news he received. He was calling Ms. Swanna but it was rejected. He tried calling her for a minute but all of his calls were still rejected. He the called one of the teachers that was his friend but what he heard was not good news. His friend told him was going to be punished personally by the principal because of what happened yesterday. Mr. Lavabo tried to argue with his friend but all his friend could say was, "I'm not the principal. Go talk him if you want." and hung up the call. Since there's still twenty minutes left until he checks up on his students, he decided to go the principal's office. When he arrived, he couldn't believe at what he saw. Ms. Swanna was crying in front of the principal. Mr. Lavabo approached Ms. Swanna and then asked the principal about what happened.

Mr. Lavabo: What happened here, sir?

Principal Godfrey: As punishment for yesterday's incident, I had to fire her. This school needs a professional who can handle things like those.

Mr. Lavabo: But don't we all know that she was like this from the beginning, sir?

Principal Godfrey: Normally I would not think much about this incident but yesterday was a bit special. She almost killed one of our major sponsor's child. If that happened, the school's funds will dramatically plummet.

Mr. Lavabo: Who was the child, sir? Was it the Elf transferee?

Principal Godfrey: Yes. She's the one.

Mr. Lavabo: If were talking about this incident, shouldn't Mr. Angelo be held responsible for what happened earlier this morning? That sponsor's child could've also died.

Principal Godfrey: I already talked to that child's father. He said it was understandable since it was the first time they started to train their minds. And she jumped directly to Yellow Essence so it's fine. But in Ms. Swanna's case, if I remember correctly, she even said to you that the reason why that anomaly happened was because she wanted to show off to her new students, right?

Mr. Lavabo: Wha-? How did you know that? 

Principal Godfrey: Did you forget what kind of Beastman I am, Mr. Lavabo?

Mr. Lavabo: Right. Sir is a wild boar type Beastman.

Principal Godfrey: Correct. And do you know why wild boars like me have big ears?

Mr. Lavabo: Because in the wild, wild boars are often the best prey for carnivorous animals. So the wild boars evolved throughout the years and their hearing ability improved to the point where they can even notice an ambush from predators that can blend in the environment.

Principal Godfrey: Very good. Looks like you still know your stuff fellow Beastman. Now that everything is clear, you know what to do, Ms. Swanna. I want you out of this school befo-...

Before Principal Godfrey could finish his sentence, someone slammed the door open. Principal Godfrey's temper rose to the top immediately. He was going to fire his Special Skill - Stone Cannon at the intruder but was able to held back after he heard the intruder's voice.

Intruder: I dare you to fire that thing, Mr. Principal Boareas Godfrey! Then you'll know true hell!

Principal Godfrey: (immediately dematerializes his Special Skill - Stone Cannon and the bows apologetically) I'm sorry, Ms. Aerolith. I didn't know it was you. Please forgive my rudeness. How come you're here?

Around the time that Mr. Lavabo arrived at the Principal's Office, somebody threw a stone wrapped in paper at Aerolith while she was training. She was surprised because even though the stone was small, she did try to s***h it with her Wind Blade because she saw it as a form of attack. But the stone wrapped with paper didn't even have a single dent on it. It was as if the stone was protected by something that would only disperse immediately after the stone hits the ground. Aerolith was sure that it's impossible for her classmates to do this kind of thing so she hesitated at first, whether to pick the stone wrapped in paper or not because it might be a trap. But she decided to pick up the stone and unwrapped it. The stone had nothing in it but the paper had a message written. The written message was, "Ms. Swanna will be fired as punishment because she almost killed you yesterday." She was startled at the message at first but was level-headed enough to realize the things happening around her and immediately released her Ultimate - Overlimit Break. Overlimit Break is a type of ability that lets a person to surpass their current limit temporarily. This means that even though Aerolith has the Mental Force and Muscle Power of a Yellow Essence - First Stage person, she currently has the Mental Force and Muscle Power of a Yellow - Green Essence - First Stage person. Which is one Essence Color above her current prowess. With this, she was able to rush to the Principal's Office in no time. But Aerolith kept the thing about the message being delivered to her by stone, a secret.

Aerolith: I was already awake when you and father talked about punishing the one responsible for the incident. I just waited for someone who was somewhat, to some extent, close to Ms. Swanna to have a shocked reaction. And even though I met Mr. Lavabo for the first time today, his sudden mood swing earlier was kind of weird, so I made a gamble and rushed over here. Good thing my hunch was correct.

Principal Godfrey: But what is it that you want, Ms. Aerolith. 

Aerolith: Well, I don't want you to fire Ms. Swanna. I kind of like her as my teacher. And it would be a waste to just fire her immediately after that one serious incident. She's strong too. Truly a waste of manpower if she gets fired.

Principal Godfrey: But I promised your father I would punish the one responsible to the incident.

Aerolith: Like I said, I was already awake when you told father you would punish the  one responsible of the incident. Although I used the work punishment, I still clearly remember that you didn't say punishment that time. I'm sure you used the word "discipline", am I right? And don't worry about that promise you made. I'm sure father already forgot your promise to him. And if by chance he did not forget, I'll be the one to talk to him.

Principal Godfrey felt that what he said to Mr. Lavabo earlier was slapped right back at him. Although he was getting annoyed by the current situation, he just let out a sigh and said.

Principal Godfrey: (sigh) Fine. But Ms. Swanna still needs to be punished. Or else the other teachers will think that as long as they will become one of your teacher, you will protect them from any punishment. So Ms. Swanna will have to be set as an example that I am impartial to all the teachers here, whether they a have strong backer supporting behind them. But don't worry, I will not make it too harsh.

Aerolith: Thank you, Principal Godfrey. Now, I'll have to excuse myself as I still have class to attend to. I'll be expecting to see Ms. Swanna tomorrow in our classroom. (leaving the office)

Ms. Swanna: W-Wait!

Aerolith: Yes, Ms. Swanna?

Ms. Swanna: Thank you so much, Ms. Aerolith. And I'm sorry for almost killing you. I'll do my best to be careful and to teach you and your classmates to the best of my abilities.

Aerolith: It's fine. Don't worry about it. I have to go now. I'll see you later, Mr. Lavabo. (leaves the office and closed the door)

Ms. Swanna: Such a kind-hearted child. (sniffs)

Mr. Lavabo: There, there. It's fine now. 

Principal Godfrey: Ahem! I'll give you your punishment later, Ms. Swanna. But I'll punish you both if you still won't leave my office.

Ms. Swanna: I'm sorry, Principal Godfrey. Please excuse us. (bows)

Mr. Lavabo: Please excuse us. (bows)

Principal Godfrey: How dare a child humiliate me like this! Just because you're his child doesn't mean you could do things to me, on MY university, willy nilly! Someday, both you and your father will pay for bossing me, Boareas Godfrey, around. I'll never forget this. (growls)

Both Mr. Lavabo and Ms. Swanna were walking down the hall, when Mr. Lavabo's phone suddenly rang. The one calling him was Nurse Aqua. He was confused as to why Nurse Aqua would call him at this time. But when he answered the phone he suddenly stopped walking. Ms. Swanna was startled at his sudden stop but she became worried when she saw Mr. Lavabo's shocked face. Mr. Lavabo's and Ms. Swanna's eyes locked for a moment and the said to Ms. Swanna.

Mr. Lavabo: I'm sorry, Ms. Swanna. I have to go to the infirmary stat. (starts dashing)

Ms. Swanna: Hey! (immediately caughts up to Mr. Lavabo's speed, dashing beside him) What's wrong? 

Mr. Lavabo: That call earlier was from Nurse Aqua. She said that one of my students is suddenly in the infirmary right now. She doesn't know how the student got there without her noticing but the student is now unconscious. 

Ms. Swanna: Did she tell you who the student was? Did she tell you who the student was?

Mr. Lavabo: The student is...

Before Mr. Lavabo could finish his sentence, they both arrived at the infirmary. They arrived fast because of their strength. Mr. Lavabo immediately entered to check his student. Ms. Swanna was shocked to find that the unconscious student is none other than Aerolith. The student that was just at the Principal's Office a while ago. What's even more shocking is that Aerolith left the Principal's Office not too long ago. And judging from her current Essence Color, she shouldn't have the speed to arrive that fast. Mr. Lavabo then asked Nurse Aqua.

Mr. Lavabo: What happened to her, Nurse Aqua? How did she end up here?

Nurse Aqua: I don't actually know, Mr. Lavabo. I was just sipping tea earlier when I noticed that there was wind blowing through the window. I found it strange because I was sure that I closed the window shut. But when I checked, the window was open. I then felt a presence staring behind me and when I looked around, I found her already lying on the bed. I hurriedly closed the window, checked her vitals and immediately called you.

Mr. Lavabo: So what did you find?

Nurse Aqua: It's actually not quite serious. She just overused her Muscle Power. She passed out due to extreme fatigue. Looks like she pushed herself to the limit doing something desperate. Do you happen to know what she did, Mr. Lavabo?

Mr. Lavabo: Now that you mention it, it now makes sense how she was able to arrive shortly after I arrive at the Principal's Office. But I don't know what ability she used because she already said that her Special Move is called Wind Blade. It doesn't explain how she got the speed to arrive at the Principal's Office on short notice.

Ms. Swanna: She did say that she knew that I was going to be punished some time later. So maybe she followed you stealthily to the Principal's Office?

Mr. Lavabo: No. You were still crying that time so you didn't notice. She was already panting when she arrived. She tried to hide it but I was able to notice it. I just didn't think much about it. And with her strength now, I doubt she can follow me without me noticing. But it explains why she's in this state now. At least it's nothing serious. But what bugs me is that how she ended up here.

Nurse Aqua: Same here. I'll take a look at the CCTV records later. So I'm sorry for suddenly calling you and making you worry but you can go back now and continue your respective work.

Mr. Lavabo: Okay. I'll leave her in you hands, Nurse Aqua. (bows and leaves)

Ms. Swanna: Pardon my intrusion. (bows and leaves)

Nurse Aqua: Have a nice day. My, oh my, you're already sent here twice. Not including the incident yesterday. I'm getting worried about your future here Missy.
