On the other hand, while everyone was in chaos looking for the so-called abducted person, Geneva was hauled by Jerry on the terrace at the rooftop. "Let go." Geneva shook the man's hand shortly after they reached the terrace. Her breathtaking face wore a cold expression. "What are you doing? Want to catch up on our old days?" Jerry closed the door in that terrace and faced Geneva with a deep hatred in his eyes. The way he looked at her was like he wanted to tear her apart. "You seem so annoyed to see me. After what you did to me, is this how you are going to treat me? Why? I treated you so well, why did you do this to me? What have I done wrong for you to torture me like this, huh?" Jerry held the woman's shoulders tightly and shouted at her loudly. "Tell me! Why? Why?" Geneva neither stepped back nor moved to avoid or remove the man's hands. She also did not show a hint of panic or fear towards the man. She instead crossed her arms over her chest and stared at him coldly, unbothered about the man's explosion of anger. If Geneva was just an ordinary woman, she would have been kneeling in front of the man and shaking so badly seeing his ferocious and murderous glare. "Jerry, how are you? It's been a while, are you alright?" "Are you making fun of me? Huh! Look at me and tell me. what do you think?" Jerry glared at her, eyes were bloodshot like a bloodthirsty beast. He looked as if he wanted to crush the woman into pieces and swallowed her up. "Do I look fine after what you have done? Geneva, you are the most beautiful and lovely that I have ever seen in my entire life. But do you know what I found out? Behind that stunning and rare beauty of yours, there is a vicious woman hiding who is the real you. Why? Why did you do this to me? What have I done wrong to you? Answer me!" Jerry shook the woman ferociously. "Enough! Are you done? Hands off!" Geneva yelled at him. The man halted instantly and then the woman slowly pulled his hands off her."Yes. You did nothing wrong to me. But Jerry, you know clearly what you have done. Ask yourself, you might have forgotten it. I am just giving you the taste of your own medicine you give to others. To simply put, I am your Karma." "My Karma?" Jerry suddenly chuckled like crazy. "Yes. You are my Karma. You made me fall in love with you and then leave me after you succeeded. How cruel you are. Was it so fun, huh?" "I don't know." Geneva answered seriously. "It never brought me happiness. But I won't hesitate to admit that I feel comfortable after I saw you suffering. I felt comfortable for those women you hurt. If I were them, I can still say that what I've done to you is far from enough." "You are cruel. Why are you so cruel to me?" Tears dropped in his eyes, Jerry gradually squatted down on the floor like a pathetic little kid. Geneva frowned seeing him behaved like that. She slightly kicked him on his foot. "Hey, what are you doing? You are such a grown man, how can you sit there and cry like a kid. Get up." "I won't. I will cry because I want to. This makes me feel comfortable." Jerry insisted. "Weren't you happy to see me crying? Then I will cry forever in front of you. Is that enough?" "Come on." Geneva heaved a sigh of frustration towards the man. "Don't be childish. Get up. You have not done wrong to me. So even if you kneel and cry for the rest of your life in front of me, it's no use. Besides, I have no grudge against you nor I have special connections to you, so even if you shed blood, it has nothing to do with me." "Yes. It has nothing to do with you." Jerry raised his head and stared at her intently. Tears covered in his eyes. Looking at him, Geneva felt he was quite pitiful. "What kind of look is that? What do you mean by that?" Geneva looked down on him coldly? Jerry wiped his tears using the back of his hands and began talking. The way he looked at her was weird— disappointed, betrayed, sorrowful, and complaining. "Since it has nothing to do with you, then why did you do this to me?" "What are you trying to say?" Geneva narrowed her eyes sharply, glaring at him like an insignificant object on the ground. Jerry smiled bitterly. "Yes. I hurt them. I am a scumbag. I have relationships with plenty of women everywhere. I made love with them and hurt them in the end. I treated women like nothing in my eyes. I admitted that I am not a good man. However, you can't deny that I became a good man because of you. You changed me. I care a lot for you. I loved you so much. I gave all of myself to you. I gave my devotion to you. I dote on you so much. But why did you choose to hurt me? Why?" "Because I am also a woman!" Geneva said the words with emphasis. Her gaze to the man suddenly became murderous. Geneva was aware of her own emotions. Any time soon, if she could not contain her hatred buried in her heart, she would be in trouble. The hatred in his heart was like a time bomb that would explode and scattered harm to everyone. In order not to lose control, she clenched her hands tightly, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She took a few seconds before she spoke again. "Jerry, you will never understand. Those women you hurt and being played like a toy until they lost themselves and ruined themselves, they will never be returned to the past. The pain and betrayal that you suffered is nothing compared to the pain and betrayal that they suffered. When they need you, what do you do? Where are you? You completely ignored them and enjoyed yourself everywhere. Yes. We have no relationships. But as a woman, I can feel their pain and suffering. I can understand them." The woman paused for a while and continued. By that time, her voice lowered and softened. As if she was just leisurely reciting a text from a book. "You said you love me, gave everything to me, and treated me so well. But so what? Will it change everything? Will it change the fact that you hurt and ruin so many women? I am a woman myself. I can sympathise with them. Hurting them has no difference in hurting me... Jerry, you tell me. If you were a woman, would you pretend that those are nothing for you? How can you trust a man who harmed so many women? How can I trust you? How can I live comfortably? Can you tell me?" "I—" Jerry hurriedly went on his feet and held the woman's hand. "Hands off." Geneva ordered him coldly. "No. I won't. Listen to me first." Jerry insisted. Instead of letting her hand, he even tightened his hold on it. "Let me say something first." Geneva retracted her hand forcibly. "You don't have to hold me if you want to say something. I don't want others to see us like this. I don't want trouble. Step back a meter away from me if you don't want me to hate you forever." "Fine. Fine. I won't touch you." Jerry instantly followed her wish and stepped back, hands raising on his shoulders. "Is the distance fine?" Geneva checked the distance between them and nodded. "That is much better." "Geneva, I know I am wrong. I already suffered all this year. You can continue torturing me, but please, don't leave me. I can't live without you." Jerry swore. "I promise, I will change myself for good. Just come back to my side. I will take care of you. I will love you forever and I will be loyal to you. Please, let's return to the past, can't we? I am suffering from what I've done. I can't touch any woman anymore. But you are different. I tried to hold you just now and discovered that my body didn't react uncomfortably, it didn't tremble uncomfortably, but in fact it feels good to hold you. Do you know how happy I was? I can't wait to take you away from here. I don't want you to get close to any man. Look at how Jasper and that strange man fought because of you. I am glad he got beaten. How dare he kiss you." Geneva's eyes rounded when the image of Chen Lei crossed her mind. While silently staring at the man, she said to herself. "This is bad! This man is gutsy. Is he courting death? How could he act impulsively and snatch me from that devil? Auh, I'm getting crazy." Geneva abruptly stretched her hand out and stopped him from his endless murmurs. "Stop. Stop. Jerry, listen to me. I am happy that you want to change for good. But don't do this because of me. You and I had nothing to do with each other." "How can you say that? Didn't you just tell me that you left me before because of my bad habit?" Jerry held the woman's shoulder again. His face slightly looked better and his eyes filled with gentleness. "Geneva, you don't have to worry about that thing anymore. Just like what I've said, any woman can't even hold my hand anymore. I developed heterosexual phobia after our break up. So, you have no rival anymore. I will be yours only." Geneva closed her eyes, and shook her head. "You still understand." "I understand." "You are not." Geneva stepped back, slightly looking annoyed. "Geneva, what do you mean by this?" Jerry looked at Geneva in confusion. His eyes popped wide, hands froze in the air. "I think I have to make myself clear.. Jerry, listen to me. I don't love you. Actually I have never loved you even just a bit." "No. You are lying." Jerry shook his head desperately. "I am telling you the truth. I never loved you from the past. I will never love in the present. And it will be the same in the future. My heart… will never have a spot for you." Geneva looked at the door. "You just took me away. Do you know you just made a terrible mistake? If you still care for your little life, then, from now on, don't follow me. Don't disturb me. I will leave right now and pretend we have not seen anything." Saying that, Geneva turned her back at him and walked downstairs. Jerry just stood there for a few seconds. After that short time, he slowly turned his head and watched the figure of the woman he loved the most and also hated leaving him again. Tears dripped from his eyes like streams.
