In Noelle's office, a little girl walked in, looking mysterious. She said, "Noelle, we're staying late today. The board just announced that a new chairman is being appointed tonight."

"Didn't they say Harley wasn't coming today?" Noelle instinctively thought it was about Harley.

The little girl sat next to Noelle and started fanning her with a hand fan.

She said, "I wouldn't know about that. Ariya might just be lying. The chairman is about to be appointed, and soon we'll have to leave this office. I heard the position of the chairman's secretary is still open! You'll be living with the chairman, so don't forget about your friends!"

Hearing this, Noelle was momentarily stunned. Right, the secretary position had been vacant. If Harley became chairman, and she served him well, that position could be hers. Why hadn't she thought of that before?

"Stop talking nonsense. The chairman's secretary will definitely be chosen through a rigorous selection process. We're in HR; why would we want to join the fun?" Noelle pushed the little girl away, her hands trembling with excitement.

The little girl flattered Noelle. "What's wrong with being in HR? You can still be the chairman's secretary. Look at Ariya; she became the deputy director right after she joined! You're not any worse than her, Noelle! I think the chairman's secretary position should be yours!"

Noelle nodded repeatedly but ultimately scoffed, saying, "Don't compare me to Ariya. I find that embarrassing."

The little girl hugged Noelle's shoulders and said, "Alright, alright, my big secretary! Should we go see what Ariya is up to? As the future chairman's secretary, you have an obligation to report on the employees' work!"

"What are you doing?" Ariya, who was organizing the company's development plan, frowned upon seeing them enter.

Noelle walked to the desk, grabbed Ariya's notebook, and read aloud, "Yuvi Group Development Plan. First, eliminate nepotism within departments. Only one partner is allowed to stay in the company; no messy relationships… Hey, Ms. Willis, just focus on your design work. You shouldn't be setting company policies!"

"If you have nothing else, please leave," Ariya said coldly as she snatched the notebook back.

Noelle shot back, "Don't give me that sour face as if I owe you money. I'm here to tell you that we're staying late today to announce the chairman's appointment."

Ariya already knew about this. She looked at Noelle suspiciously. "What does that have to do with you?"

"It has everything to do with me! Do you know who the new chairman is? It's Harley; he's the new chairman! Once the secretary position opens up, I'll be stepping up. I'll be one level below the chairman, above everyone else. Ariya, I suggest you treat me nicely, or else you'll regret it when I take charge!" Noelle said confidently, beaming with pride.

Ariya was dumbfounded. 'Noelle, are you still asleep? The new chairman is obviously me; Harley is already in hell reporting to his father!'

"You…" Ariya was unsure if she should tell her the truth.

Noelle smiled smugly. "What's wrong? Looks like you just found out the news? Once I'm in power, I'll be the first to drag you down from your director position and assign you to clean the toilets. I bet you'll love that feeling of falling from grace! And don't think you can resign; it takes three months for resignation letters to get approved. That means I'll have three months to make your life miserable!"

Ariya shook her head vigorously and said, "Noelle, I honestly don't know what to say. I won't say anything more; you'll understand during the meeting later that your plans can't possibly come true. Let's leave it at that for now; I have things to do. Please leave."

In her heart, Ariya already considered herself the chairman, so she spoke to Noelle like a superior. But Noelle didn't know the situation and couldn't take it.

Noelle shouted, "You really think you're something! You think you can just tell me to leave? Everyone, look! The HR department came to check, but Ms. Willis is trying to kick me out! You all judge for yourselves. I'm just following company policy; what's wrong with that?"

As Noelle yelled, employees began to gather around, and some of her friends started to defend her.

"Isn't it still working hours? The HR department can indeed check; that's a rule set by old Mr. Hart."

"Maybe it's different now. Didn't you see Ms. Willis drafting company policies? Maybe she's going to be the chairman's wife!"

"Her as the chairman's wife? She needs to get a divorce first. I wonder if her husband will agree!"

The crowd buzzed with chatter, but Ariya stayed silent, just remembering their faces.

"After the board meeting, everyone gather downstairs. I'll treat you all to dinner. After that, we'll go sing karaoke. Let's celebrate tonight and not leave until we're drunk!" Noelle felt triumphant seeing Ariya silent, so she decided to treat everyone.

The employees erupted in cheers; what could be better than free food and free singing?

Just then, a Mercedes S500 sped to a stop at the Yuvi Group entrance. Brenton Vance, the uncle, stepped out, holding a document. After Leo and Harley's deaths, he was the only one left in the Vance family, and today he was here to hand over Yuvi Group himself.

"Deputy Director Vance, you finally made it! So… Harley, Mr. Hart, isn't coming?" Noelle anxiously asked Brenton as she spotted him.

"Harley?" Brenton shot Noelle a cold glance. "He's not coming. I'll explain everything later. Right now, gather all the employees; I need to hold a meeting. Inform everyone that there are significant appointment announcements, and they need to prepare mentally."

Brenton walked into Ariya's office. What they discussed inside was beyond outsiders' ears.

"Noelle, congratulations! You're about to become the chairman's secretary!"

"Of course! Who in the company can compete with Noelle? She's got the looks and the skills; this position is meant for you!"

"By the way, Noelle, you're treating everyone to karaoke today, isn't that for this reason?"

Noelle smiled but didn't reply. A bad feeling suddenly crept in. Harley wasn't coming. Where could he be? And why was Brenton going to Ariya's office?

But before she could think too much, the door to Ariya's office opened, and she and Brenton walked up to the podium together.

Everyone's attention turned to them, waiting for Brenton to announce the new appointments.

"Before I officially announce the personnel appointments, let me first address Harley's situation. Harley was bribed by the Serenland organization and killed Leo for money. Such a person deserves death; he was executed by the military last night at Petal Hotel!"

Noelle felt like she had fallen into an ice cave. She stubbornly believed that Ariya and Harley had gone to Petal Hotel for something, which was why she had been in conflict with Ariya.

She never expected Ariya was telling the truth—Harley had actually been killed by the military. Regardless of Harley's actions regarding Leo, his death meant she had lost her support in Yuvi Group. Did that mean she had to go back to working diligently?

"I witnessed Harley's death with my own eyes, and I'm willing to take full legal responsibility. What I want to tell you is that it's all in the past, and no one should discuss it. The Vance family may be gone, but the group must continue to develop; our designs need to reach the market. Even though the Vance family has lost a lot of talented people, the remaining shareholders have agreed to sell all their shares."

He continued, "Now, I'm going to announce a new personnel change: starting immediately, the former director, Ariya Willis, will take over as the new chairman of the group. This decision takes effect right now. Let's give a warm welcome to Ms. Willis to say a few words!"
