Chapter 15

Norah, sitting nearby, scoffed. "How could it be your dad? That's the Heart of the Ocean. Your dad is such a useless person; he could never afford such luxury even if he worked a lifetime!" "That's right, it is the Heart of the Ocean. The gentleman obtained it at the Aethermark Auction three years ago," Ralphy continued on stage. "The gentleman mentioned that, due to their financial struggles at the time, they didn't have a wedding or any tokens of affection." He added. "This was his lifelong regret. He bought the Heart of the Ocean three years ago and gave it to the woman he loves most. The blue of the gem symbolizes eternal love. He wants to tell her, 'Through all the hardships and storms, my heart has only been for you!'" Finally, he announced. "Now, please open your eyes, and let us all witness this joyful moment together!" As his voice fell, the banquet hall suddenly went dark, with only beams of light sweeping around. Suddenly, every beam of light focused on one person at the front: Ariya, holding Maisy in her arms! Almost everyone's gaze was fixed on Ariya. She was a bit surprised, looking at Ralphy. 'Could it really be Talon?' Norah was also stunned, her face full of confusion. "Could it really be that useless Talon? This can't be true!" With this, she stood up from her seat, looking around for Talon. The most shocked were the Willis family members, because the story Ralphy told happened to be exactly five years ago. Combined with the various events since Talon returned to Philadelphia, such as the one hundred million check and Jack bowing to him in apology, scenes kept flashing in their minds, making them feel an immense shock. Many of them murmured with each other. "Could that man be Talon?" "He left just five years ago! How could he be the mysterious person behind Skysoar Group?" "Yeah, Skysoar Group is worth hundreds of billions. How could it possibly be related to that drifter?" "What's going on with the lights? Why did they suddenly go out?" Ralphy said with a smile, looking at Ariya. "Since the lights are down, let's have Ms. Willis come upstairs with me as a special guest to enjoy the most romantic part of the wedding." He continued. "Even though the lights are out, it won't affect everyone's dining experience. I'll take Ms. Willis upstairs first and then come back to join you. Please relax and enjoy yourselves." He handed the microphone to the host, making a gesture of invitation. "Ms. Willis, please." Ariya hesitated for a moment, handed the child to Norah, and then followed Ralphy upstairs. "So it was just a problem with the lights. I knew it couldn't be Talon!" Norah said dismissively. "I said it earlier, Talon is just a useless person!" Jensen sighed in relief. "I think Mr. Hill might be interested in Ariya," Lord Willis observed sharply. "He specifically asked her to go upstairs for a discussion. There could be something more to it. Remember, the upper floors of the Stardom Hotel are all guest rooms." "Oh? So Mr. Hill really has a thing for Ariya?" Jensen blinked. "If that's the case, then the five-hundred-million order is definitely ours! As for Ariya? It's only fair she sleeps with him. If even a drifter could have her, why not let anyone else?" The Willis family members nodded in agreement, their eyes showing disdain. Even though Ariya was helping the Willis family, they still looked down on her, considering her a woman who had been deflowered by a drifter. Riding the elevator up, Ariya remained silent. When the lights had shone on her earlier, she had felt a surreal sense of being the main character, the one revered by thousands. But unfortunately, it was all just a fleeting dream, vanishing too quickly. *** Stardom Hotel was named for the stars, which seemed almost within reach when viewed from the top of the hotel. At that moment, on the top floor of the Stardom Hotel, outside the presidential suite, Ralphy was already gone! Ariya gently pushed open the door. Suddenly, the lights came on, and the figure in front of her was so familiar. He was sitting at the piano, his fingers dancing over the keys like a sprite, playing the melodious "Fur Elise," which Ariya loved the most! As the melodious tune played, Ariya took a few steps forward. In the blink of an eye, the lights in hotel went dark again. With each step she took, a rose appeared beneath her feet, like stars lighting up the night. When the piece ended, the figure slowly stood up and turned around slowly under Ariya's gaze. The man's face was so familiar yet so strange. The man who had invited all the city's political and business elite and bought the world's most expensive jewel was actually her husband Talon! At that moment, Ariya felt everything before her was just a dream, standing there in a daze. "Ariya, this is for you." Talon, dressed in a tailcoat and holding a bouquet of fiery red roses, walked slowly towards her. "It's really you!" Ariya's tears could not be controlled, sliding down her beautiful face. Talon looked at Ariya and said softly, "Ariya, you've been through so much these past five years. I, Talon, swear that from now on, I will never let you suffer any grievance again." Talon slowly knelt down, looking up at Ariya, and said, "Five years ago, when you married me, I had nothing and made you a laughingstock in Philadelphia. Today, I want to put the Heart of the Ocean on you myself. They say the person who wears it will have a lifetime of happiness!" As Talon said this, music started playing, and suddenly, rose petals began to fall from the sky like a waterfall, pouring down from the top of the Stardom Hotel. Almost the entire Stardom Hotel, both inside and out, was covered with rose petals. "Talon, I-I." Ariya, overwhelmed with emotion, was crying. "Ariya, promise me." Talon knelt on one knee, his face full of sincerity. "Talon, I... this is all too sudden. I'm afraid I..." Ariya tried to say more. "Promise me." Talon gently interrupted her, just like that domineering yet tender night five years ago. "Yes, I promise you!" Ariya nodded slightly. Talon placed the Heart of the Ocean on her hand and then held her hand, saying with confidence, "Let's go. I want to show you Philadelphia tonight. The whole city is celebrating us!" Talon led her to the window, and Ariya first heard the crisp sound of fireworks, bursting in front of her eyes. The fireworks grew more and denser, eventually forming the words "Happy Union" in the sky like a vast galaxy. Ariya finally understood that while it seemed like Skysoar Group was announcing its entry into Philadelphia, they were actually setting the stage for their grand wedding! So, all these years, he'd been there, always planning to give her this grand wedding. Buzz! The lights in the Stardom Hotel went out, and one by one, the city lights came on. They lit up with the words "Happy Union," and Ariya couldn't hold back her tears! This was the entire Philadelphia giving their blessing to them! "A bright light all night, with the whole city's blessings." Talon wiped away Ariya's tears and said gently. Ariya looked at the city lights, with the Heart of the Ocean on her hand glowing blue. She was deeply moved, trembling. And she looked up at the man in front of her, her eyes brimming with tears!
