Ariya was momentarily speechless, holding Maisy's hand, unsure of what to say.

Leo's gaze was dark as he looked at Pola. Aside from Talon saving his life, having his wife work in his group with Skysoar Group's backing was the best thing that could happen.

It was infuriating that the vice president he appointed pushed away such a great opportunity!

"Heh, you're not truly remorseful. You just know you're going to die." Talon sneered as he saw Ariya seemingly softening.

"If Leo hadn't shown up today, would Yuvi Group have really detained my wife here? Who would Ariya's grievances be addressed to?"

"Security!" Leo immediately understood. "Take Pola away now; no one can plead for her today! Thoroughly investigate Pola. After all these years as vice president, I don't believe her records are clean! Also, send out an industry-wide notice that Pola has been expelled by Yuvi Group. Anyone who dares to hire her will be our enemy!"

It was done for!

Pola was stunned. Leo was right—she had always been corrupt in her role as vice president.

Not to mention, just half a month ago, she had accepted 100,000 from a competitor and gave Yuvi Group's design drafts to them. If this got out, death would be the lightest punishment!

"Chairman Vance, please listen to me... listen to me!" Pola desperately tried to grab Leo's clothes, but the bodyguards came over and dragged her away, not giving her a chance to speak.

Just a few minutes later, Pola's voice disappeared from this world.

"Mr. Stormy, I apologize for the inconvenience caused today. I bow to you here." Leo bowed to Talon, lowering his head.

"If you agree, Ariya can immediately join Yuvi Group to replace Pola as the vice president! The current director is retiring in three months. If Ms. Willis is willing, she can take over as director in three months!"

Talon smiled and said to Leo, "You need to speak to Ms. Willis about this. I have no authority over her."

"Yes!" Leo looked at Ariya and tentatively said, "Ms. Willis, what do you think... is this okay?"

"Well..." Ariya's face flushed.

The surrounding job seekers looked at her with envy.

Becoming the vice president of fashion design right away, and getting promoted to director in three months—this is something others would beg for!

But since this man could make the group's chairman bow so low, it was clear he was a high-society big shot no one could afford to offend.

The disdain in their eyes for Ariya had completely disappeared, replaced by admiration and fear.

Ariya looked up at Talon and asked, "What do you think?"

"Me?" Talon asked, surprised. Leaning in closer, he said, "I saved Leo three years ago by chance. No one expected him to rise so quickly and build such a huge empire. If you're not interested in staying here, you can always manage at Skysoar Group."

"I don't want to be seen as relying on my husband's connections." Ariya declined Talon's offer with a smile. Understanding why Leo was courteous to him reassured Ariya.

"Chairman Vance, I am willing to join Yuvi Group. Please trust me, I will do my utmost to serve the company!"

"That's wonderful. Yuvi Group welcomes you!" Leo said with a beaming smile.

After filling out the employment paperwork at the HR department, Ariya was stunned when she saw the monthly salary of three hundred thousand.

In a city like Philadelphia, a salary of ten thousand a month was considered high income, and she could earn what others couldn't make in three years in just one month!

"Ms. Willis, is the salary too low for you?" Leo asked nervously.

"If you find it too low, I can offer you a five million annual salary plus sales commissions! Your annual income should be at least ten million."

"No, no... I actually think it's a bit too much," Ariya hesitated.

"Not at all. With your ability, it's truly our honor to have you for this amount!" Leo sighed in relief. Even if Ariya had experience in fashion design, just having Talon as a powerful backer was a huge benefit for Leo.

"Then thirty thousand it is." Ariya no longer hesitated and signed the employment agreement decisively.

Then, Leo took Ariya on a tour of the office.

The office was on the top floor, a room of about forty square meters. It had excellent natural light, with sunlight warming the room. There was also a small door leading to a bed, for Ariya to use for rest.

By the end, Ariya was numbly listening to Leo's various arrangements.

Why did it feel like this vice president position was... even more impressive than the chairman?

In the following days, Ariya was so busy that she barely had time to sleep.

Maisy's illness had almost recovered. After sending her to kindergarten to continue her studies, Talon returned to Skysoar Group.

In the Skysoar Group conference room, Talon sat in the center, while Ralphy and Jack was on the opposite side. With their heads down, both were waiting for Talon to make decision.

The decision was about the situation they were facing. Having heard about Skysoar Group's arrival, The Philadelphia City Planning Department, sent someone over to make a bussiness nigotiation with them. The department was proposed to entrust the urban planning of the southern part of the city to Skysoar Group, and inquiried if they was interested in it.

The land was worth hundreds of billions, so Ralphy didn't dare decide on his own, and asked Talon to settle it.

"What do you think of this contract proposed by the Philadelphia government?" Talon glanced at it and asked indifferently.

"General, I think this proposal is worth considering," Ralphy said, stepping forward. "Currently, Skysoar Group doesn't have any commercial land, and Philadelphia is eager to develop the southern area. Given our company's reputation, they're focusing on us. If we take on this project and complete it quickly, it could net us at least a hundred billion!"

"General, I also think it's feasible," Jack swallowed nervously. Skysoar Group was so formidable that they received such a major order the day after they moved in. Even the Gray family couldn't achieve that in ten or even twenty years!

"Who else is competing with us?" Talon asked.

"The Janus family is our competitor. They were a prominent family in Philadelphia ten years ago, but they are only willing to invest twenty billion, no more," Ralphy responded calmly.

"Moreover, this time it was the Philadelphia government that approached us directly, so it shouldn't be too difficult. But you know, there are many families bidding on the project, including the Willis family!"

"Yes, I will take care of it immediately!" Ralphy bowed slightly.

Just then, Ariya called. When Talon picked up, she sounded worried. "Talon, you should go to the kindergarten. It looks like Maisy got into a fight!"
