"Maisy?" Talon frowned slightly and left Skysoar Group.
Meanwhile, at the kindergarten's security booth, Maisy was tearfully explaining to the teacher. "Kairo called me a bastard first. I told him I'm not, and that my dad brought me here this morning! But he wouldn't listen and kept insulting me. I just gave him a gentle push, and he fell. I didn't hit him at all! If you don't believe me, ask him!"
The teacher, a middle-aged woman, was holding the fallen boy.
The boy had fallen near the trash can, with bruises on his face, crying in the teacher's arms.
"Be quiet! You hit him, and I saw it with my own eyes. Do you still want to deny it?" The teacher scolded Maisy angrily. Kairo Adams' father, Tony Adams, was an upper-middle-class elite. Although she saw that Kairo fell by himself, she still blamed Maisy.
After all, Tony's status was far more prestigious than Maisy's father, a drifter's. Everyone knew whom to support.
"Maisy, I've already called your parents. They will come soon! I'll report the situation to your parents and see how your mother deals with you!" The teacher said.
"No, I didn't hit him. I didn't. Wahhhh..." Maisy, wronged, cried loudly.
"Didn't I tell you to be quiet? Stop crying!" The teacher was also enraged and threatened fiercely."If you keep crying, I'll lock you in the small black room. When your mother gets here, I'll let you out. You're scaring Kairo with your loud crying. Who's going to take responsibility? Not just you, even your mother couldn't handle it!"
She was done pretending. To her, Maisy wasn't as important as Kairo. Even if Maisy was wronged, what difference did it make? This world was just cruel.
"Awooo... I'm not crying anymore. I'll stop... Boohoo!" Maisy clutched her little mouth tightly, forcing herself not to make any sound, but tears kept streaming down her cheeks.
She felt aggrieved; she had only pushed Kairo a little. Why didn't the teacher believe her?
"Where's Kairo? Where's Kairo?" Just then, a BMW drove up to the gate, and a man and a woman got out of the car, shouting at the security guard.
"Dad, Waah..." As soon as Kairo saw them, he immediately started crying and walked towards them.
"Kairo, I'm here!" The middle-aged woman saw her son covered in dirt and was instantly both heartbroken and furious. "Who did this to you? Tell Mom, and I'll make them pay!"
The man, seeing the teacher come out, had a grim expression. "Ms. Lee, I need a reasonable explanation. We entrusted our child to you because we expected you to take responsibility. If you can't, I'll cancel your school's qualifications! Don't think I'm threatening you! Just watch me do it!"
Tilly Lee immediately became very humble, starting to apologize and plead. "Director Adams, I admit it was my oversight. I was taking care of other children during the game and didn't realize Maisy hit Kairo. I apologize! I assure you this was an accident, something no one expected. I've already called Maisy's mother, and she should arrive soon!"
The middle-aged woman stood up furiously.
"What do you mean 'soon'? My child gets injured, and her parents aren't here yet! If you want us to calm down, it's simple—just bring out that child Maisy, let Kairo hit her, and we'll call it even! Otherwise, your kindergarten better be ready to shut down!"
"This..." Tilly hesitated.
"Where is that girl named Maisy?" Tony demanded sternly.
"In the security booth!" Tilly trembled in fear. "I'll go get her right now and make her apologize to Kairo in person!"
She quickly returned to the security booth and roughly grabbed Maisy.
At this point, Maisy's small face had turned pale from crying, and she nearly passed out several times.
But Tilly ignored this and pointed at Kairo, saying to Maisy, "Hurry up and apologize to Kairo. Just say you were wrong!"
"I didn't hit him, I didn't..." Maisy weakly defended herself.
"If you don't want to be expelled from the kindergarten, you better go quickly! Once you go, everything will be fine!" Tilly seized Maisy's ear, issuing a thunderous threat.
"Okay, okay... Uuuuu..." Maisy took a few steps forward and said to Kairo, "S-sorry... I didn't mean to push you... Waaaah..."
Maisy hadn't finished speaking before she started crying again, feeling very wronged.
She hadn't hit Kairo, so why was the teacher wrongfully accusing her? Why!?
"Hmph, such a young age and already so violent. What will you be like when you grow up?" the middle-aged woman gritted her teeth. "If we don't teach you a lesson today, you won't know your place yet! Kairo, go hit her hard. Beat her up! If anything happens, your dad will handle it!"
"Mom, I... I'm scared..." Kairo, after all, was just a five-year-old child. Even though he had accidentally fallen himself, his mother was still blaming Maisy. Now she wanted him to hit her; to be honest, it was a bit too much for a five-year-old.
"Scared?" The middle-aged woman was stunned for a moment, then became furious.
"Look, our child is so scared he won't even dare hit her! If he's afraid, I'll deal with her myself!" The middle-aged woman said, furiously walking up to Maisy and raising her hand to slap her.
Tilly shut her eyes in fear. If that slap landed, Maisy would be disfigured. But she had no choice; disfigurement of a child was better than the kindergarten shutting down. 'Maisy, you've chosen the wrong person to provoke. It's your own problem. Don't blame me!'
After waiting for what felt like an eternity, Tilly finally heard no slap. She opened her eyes to see a man standing in front of Maisy, gripping the middle-aged woman's wrist.
