"Talon, don't bet with her..." Ariya was shocked. Miss Tina's event management was always very strict, and it was impossible to enter without an invitation.
"Alright, I'll take the bet." Talon said as he dialed a number. "I'm at your door; send someone out to receive me."
Then, Talon crossed his arms and waited.
Angel was stunned but then burst into laughter. "If I heard correctly, you just called Miss Tina?Haha, everyone knows Miss Tina never carries a phone. So, who did you call?"
"Haha, you didn't even know Miss Tina's habits, yet you dare to come to the event?" Owen, beside her, also laughed, pointing at Ariya.
"Fine, you lost. I won't make you beg. Just have Ariya attend our party tonight, and I won't hold you responsible! Let him come too and watch his wife being played with. Wouldn't that be fun?" Angel said with a smirk, her face full of joy.
Ariya was such a beauty; Owen was already get his hands on her boobs.
"You're bullying us! Talon, let's go!" Ariya knew staying would only lead to more humiliation, so she pulled Talon to leave.
"Did I say you could go?" Angel blocked Ariya with a sneer. "Since you agreed to the bet, you lost. Either bow and beg, or leave Ariya here for our party! If you dare to cheat, my husband will make sure you don't leave Philadelphia alive!"
"Angel, you're going too far!" Ariya was furious, pointing at Angel to retort.
At that moment, a man suddenly ran out from the main hall, looking very anxious.
"Excuse me, who is Mr. Storm?" The man in the suit asked, out of breath.
"I am," Talon replied calmly, glancing at Angel.
"Hello, Mr. Storm, I'm Miss Tina's butler. You can call me Paul!" Paul straightened his coat and said respectfully. "Miss Tina is getting ready and can't come to greet you herself. Please follow me inside."
He added. "We've prepared red wine for you and your wife at the most comfortable spot!"
Paul's words left everyone in shock.
They had heard of Miss Tina's personal butler Paul but didn't expect Talon to actually have him come out to greet them.
"What if I don't have an invitation?" Talon asked without moving.
"Oh, invitations are only issued to prevent Miss Tina from being disturbed. Mr. Storm, someone of your status doesn't need an invitation," Paul replied with his head down.
"Ha, his status? What status?" Angel sneered, not recognizing Paul. "He's just the worthless son-in-law of the Willis family. Don't elevate him too much! And you, a British man, did he hire you to boost his image?"
"Shut up!" Owen beside him was furious: "Do you know who this is? He's Miss Tina's butler, the world's second top designer, Paul! Apologize now!"
Owen was about to faint from anger; this foolish woman would get him killed someday.
Angel was completely stunned, not expecting Paul to have such a status.
Her proud Wanzone Group was nothing compared to a global conglomerate.
But it still didn't make sense. Why would Paul be so respectful to a mere son-in-law of the Willis family?
"Oh?" Paul looked at Angel, then at Owen, and said ironically, "Mr. Webb, didn't we meet five years ago?"
"Yes, yes, your memory is excellent! We had a drink together at the design conference in New York," Owen said with a sycophantic smile.
"It's been five years since we last met. You should be married by now. Is this your wife?" Paul asked again.
"No, no, I don't know her!" Owen quickly waved his hand. "This is a woman I met at a bar. I thought I'd bring her to Miss Tina's party to broaden her horizons."
And He offered. "If you like her, Mr. Paul, she's yours!"
Paul was infamous for his lecherous behavior worldwide. It was rumored that he only accepted female disciples and had to personally test them before deciding to take them in.
"Honey, how could you..." Angel was stunned. How could the man who once loved her abandon her like trash to a man in his fifties?
"Hmph, I'm not interested in such trash." Paul said sinisterly.
"I gonna ask the marketing manager how they screened the guests so poorly that even this kind of woman could attend the party. Your invitation is invalid; please leave immediately!"
"Mr. Paul, please listen to me. I don't know her. I really don't!" Owen panicked, pleading as he saw several guards approaching.
Talon stepped forward, extending his hand and calmly asked, "I remember you said if I could get in, you would bow and beg here."
Owen's face changed instantly. They had already lost face today. If he had to bow and beg, he would become the laughing stock of Philadelphia by tomorrow.
The cost was too great; he couldn't make such a choice.
"Is that so?" Paul instantly understood, smirking coldly. "Since the bet was made at Miss Tina's door, please fulfill it quickly so as not to delay the other guests. If you don't comply, my guards will show you what to do!"
Owen was stunned again. He wanted to slap this foul-mouthed woman who had caused him to lose so much face.
If he had known it would turn out like this, he wouldn't have brought Angel.
"b***h! You've ruined me! Didn't you say he was just a useless son-in-law of the Willis family? Is this the useless man you mentioned? I'll make sure to settle this score with you later!" Owen gritted his teeth and whispered, then bowed down and began begging passersby without caring about the onlookers.
"Haha!" The crowd at the banquet hall entrance burst into laughter as Owen really bowed and begged.
"And you?" Talon looked up.
"I-I'll bow!" Angel lowered her head and bowed down, still unsure how her husband would deal with her. She could only beg Ariya. "Ariya, I know I was wrong. Please, don't let him take me away. He's not human! He only tortures me! For the sake of our years of friendship, help me. I won't dare again!"
Angel appeared noble and powerful on the surface, but in reality, she was treated like a plaything by Owen, often abused all night long.
Ariya hesitated, honestly feeling a bit confused.
From the moment Mr. Paul appeared, she recognized him and was surprised that Talon really knew him.
Now seeing Angel and Owen bowing and begging at the banquet hall, she felt a bit sorry and grabbed Talon's arm. Just as she was about to speak, Talon said, "Adults should have the courage to bear their mistakes. If we couldn't get in today, what would the result be?" Talon finished, then walked away with Ariya.
Angel hurriedly cried out, reaching for Ariya's clothes.
"Security, throw these two pieces of trash out!" Paul squinted his eyes, blocking Angel. "Also, I don't want to hear about the Wanzone Group in Philadelphia again!"
"Mr. Paul, you can't do this, you can't..." Owen still wanted to speak, but the guards had already dragged him and Angel away.
A few minutes later, in an alley, the sound of Owen's belt and Angel's piercing screams could be heard.
Inside the banquet hall, someone noticed Paul leading Talon and Ariya in, and was greatly surprised.
'Wasn't that Miss Tina's personal butler? Why was he personally greeting guests?
"Mr. Storm, It's the best spot in the Philadelphia Hotel. A waiter will soon bring you fine wine. Please enjoy it while I check if Miss Tina has finished her makeup and have her accompany you shortly."
After Paul respectfully left, Ariya finally reacted, looking at Talon in amazement. "You really know Miss Tina?"
