"Don't worry, this order is yours; it won't slip away," Talon reassured.
"Of course I'm worried" Ariya's face was full of anxiety.
"Miss Tina's arrival in Philadelphia tomorrow is going to be huge news. Any manufacturer who collaborates with her will undoubtedly rise to the top. Natalia has already announced her background and offered gifts, securing an advantage. Talon... why don't you go out and buy me some gifts?"
Talon smiled wryly, thinking if she gifted herself to Tina, Tina would be happier than receiving any material gift.
"Natalia, you're so considerate." Christina gracefully stepped down from the stage, smiling as she asked, "So, what gift did you prepare for me?"
"Miss Tina, please take a look!" Natalia snapped her fingers, and a waiter approached, carrying a tray covered with a red cloth.
Natalia dramatically pulled off the red cloth, revealing a dazzling necklace.
"Oh? A diamond necklace?" Christina picked it up with great interest.
"Indeed, it's a diamond necklace!" Natalia, seeing Christina pick it up, explained with pride.
"These eighteen diamonds are all from South Africa, handcrafted by top designers. I heard Miss Tina likes this type of jewelry, so I bought it abroad. The market value of this necklace is around ten million dollars, but if you like it, it's worth ten times that!"
Ten million dollars.
The guests were all taken aback.
Natalia was certainly unconventional; who could afford such an expensive gift?
"Yuvi Group—I heard you have a newly appointed deputy director. Is it Natalia?" Christina asked noncommittally, still holding the necklace.
"Oh, you're not talking about me. That's the new deputy director of our group. But don't worry, Miss Tina, as long as we can work together, I have confidence I can become the director of the group!"
"And what did your deputy director prepare for me?" Christina brushed off Natalia's remarks, steering the conversation her way..
"Her?" Natalia was momentarily stunned.
The guests all turned to look, making Ariya feel a bit uneasy.
"It's your turn to step up," Talon shook his head with a wry smile.
If there was anything in this world that could interest Tina, it was the military knife Talon used to kill all her enemies for her.
"I didn't prepare any gifts; how can I face Tina?" Ariya was embarrassed. "Everyone is watching; maybe we should just leave..."
"You did prepare something," Talon said, pulling out a military knife wrapped in red cloth. It was impossible to tell what it was from the outside, but he handed it to Ariya.
"What's this?" Ariya asked, puzzled, as she took the knife.
"Go ahead. Give it to Tina, and this order will be yours," Talon said calmly.
"Is it valuable?" Ariya hesitated.
"Natalia's diamond necklace is worth ten million. If this is very expensive, then maybe it's better not to give it."
"It's not expensive, but it holds special meaning for Tina," Talon stepped back, signaling her to present the gift.
Ariya hesitated for a moment. Seeing everyone watching her, she gritted her teeth and walked toward Tina.
Seeing Ariya approaching with a long object, Natalia sneered. "Ariya, what did you prepare for Miss Tina? If it's something low-class, I advise you not to take it out. This diamond necklace is worth ten million; nothing you brought can top that!"
Ariya blushed and said, "You haven't even seen it yet; how do you know my gift will lose to yours?"
Natalia sneered. "Ariya, are you still keeping up appearances at this point? If you back down now, when I become the director, you can stay on as my deputy. Otherwise, you're just bringing shame on yourself!"
"You don't need to worry about me," Ariya gritted her teeth.
The crowd automatically made way, leaving a space for Christina and waiting for Ariya to pass by.
The guests were also curious to see what Ariya had prepared.
"Miss Tina, hello. I'm Ariya Storm, the deputy director of Yuvi Group," Ariya said, trying to calm her nerves and smiling as she approached Tina.
"Oh? So you're Ariya?" Tina's eyes lit up slightly, looking her up and down with an appreciative gaze before finally nodding. "You're indeed a stunner; no wonder he's so infatuated with you."
Ariya didn't understand her words but smiled and said, "Miss Tina, you're too kind. I'm just an ordinary person; I wouldn't dare call myself beautiful in front of a legend in the design field like you."
Ariya then handed over the object in her hands. "This is something that belonged to my husband. He said, 'Though it may be ordinary, it holds special meaning for you.' Please, Miss Tina, accept it."
She was still uneasy but waited quietly for what would happen next.
"If it's something from your husband, even if it's ordinary, I'll treasure it," Tina smiled and began to unwrap the red cloth.
As the red cloth was slowly removed, a 20 cm long military knife with a deep blood groove was revealed.
Tina was momentarily stunned when she saw the knife. She looked at Talon with a complex expression.
Tina had asked Talon for this knife many times, but he had always refused, using the military as an excuse.
To her surprise, he had brought it out today.
Could it be that Ariya really held such an important place in his heart?
"Hahaha, Ariya, I thought you would come up with something impressive, but it's just a knife! This is something that wouldn't even be picked up off the street, and you dare present it as a gift? Are you thinking of Miss Tina at all? You're a disgrace to Yuvi Group; leave here immediately!"
At the sight of the knife, Natalia breathed a sigh of relief. A broken knife—how could it compare to her diamond necklace?
"My son is a military enthusiast; I think this is a military knife, right?"
"It doesn't matter what kind of knife it is. What matters is that Ariya has lost. Even if this knife is beautiful, how can it compare to a ten-million-dollar diamond?"
"I should have expected this. Her husband is just a drifter; what good things could he have? This knife is probably something he picked out of the trash!"
The crowd immediately started murmuring, with everyone leaning towards Natalia's side.
Natalia also looked at Ariya with disdain, waiting for Tina to order her to be thrown out.
Natalia had undoubtedly won this round.
