"Welcome home, sugar." A cold shiver ran down my spine as my eyes widened. Ryan started to get up slowly from where he was sitting, like a snake slowly uncoiling to attack, like one of those murderers you see in those horror movies. Now I get how it would feel to die in a horror movie. "My darling sugar, aren't you all tired from your tough day at work?" He was backing me against the wall now. For some reason, I felt as my mouth was gagged, like something was suffocating me. I couldn't breathe. Fear. Fear is the most deadly trap you can throw yourself in. Once it takes control of your senses, it numbs you and throws you into a dark void that shows no promise of escape. Nothing makes sense, when you're scared. You tend to succumb to the thing that is controlling your senses to reason
