I'm back

Country A, Airport 

There is this magnificent sight of the early sunrise beaming over the horizon. The airport terminal was very busy. With many passengers coming in and many others leaving, there was a constant movement of both people and planes. Savanna stood on the spot, reminiscing the good memories when she was here last. It had been barely two days but she felt like she had been out of the country for a long time. All of the wonderful faces strolling to their respective gates, thus creating a light breeze with every passing body. The warm sun shining through the airport as if to brighten the lives of those within the airport. Savanna closed her eyes, breathed in the fresh air that came along with the beautiful scenery before her,as she listened closely to the world around her. Birds chirping up above, the chuckling of amused children, and the faint harmony of men and women conversing in the terminal. 

After a while, she opened her eyes again to now see what her mind was conjuring up from the tranquility of sounds, a wide smile from ear to ear across her lips. She were happy. She only left the airport when she had had enough of it. 

A cab screeched into a halt in front of the apartment. Savanna hurriedly picked her bag and suitcases and got off. Turning around, savanna looked up at the apartment. Memories flashed through her mind as she thought of the day when she left,unable to believe that she was finally back. When she were told the good news by her boss, she chose to keep it from her friends. At first, she wanted to tell Edie so badly, but on the other hand, she wanted to surprise them. She chose the latter. She wanted to see their reaction as soon as they saw her, most especially Edie. Breathing in and out, she walked into the apartment. Peeping through the open door, Edie busied herself typing some lines on her laptop while the others were busy playing with their phones. She thought carefully about how she could appear in front of them without them realizing. 

Savanna twisted her head quizzically as she thought about it carefully. Finally, coming up with an idea, savanna began to jump up and down like a little kid who had received candy. 

"I'm back!" shouted savanna, so loud, startling everyone in the room. Savanna smiled wide. She were proud of herself, seeing their reaction. As soon as they heard the shout, simultaneously they turned their heads, and suddenly couldn't move or speak. They were thunderstruck surprised. Staring at her, it was as if the person who stood in front of them was a ghost. The funniest part of it all, their Jaws dropped. Edie almost dropped her laptop to the ground. After a while, savanna finally broke the silence. "Guys, you look like you've seen a ghost! It's me! I'm back guys! I'm finally back and this time, it's infinity!" Hearing those words and the chuckle that came along with them, they finally came back to their senses and realized whatever that was happening. 

" I'm dreaming, right!"asked Edie , unable to believe that the person who stood in front of them was savanna, her best friend. It had barely been two days and she was back? Of course she had good reasons to be surprised. Savanna had her life in country B, and there was no way she could abandon that life. "somebody wake me up! Pinch me! I need to wake up!" Seeing this sight, savanna laughed uncontrollably. They really didn't believe she was back! It was funny though, watching them struggle to believe she were actually back. She laughed until her sides started to hurt because of laughing too hard. Panting, she walked to scarlet and gave her a warm, long and tight hug. She had really missed her best friend. "Scarlet! It's really me! I'm back! I missed you guys!" said savanna as she let go of her. 

"You're back? How come?" asked Edie after realizing that she weren't dreaming. Seeing the confusion in their eyes as they struggled to understand what was happening, savanna uttered, "it's a long story!"   "We have all the time to listen to your long story," responded Avery. They were so much eager to know. "Guys, it's not like I'm going anywhere. Help me bring in my stuff first and give me a drink! I'm thirsty!" As soon as they realized the suitcases, they uttered all at the same time, "Oops, our bad!" as they each stood up. 

They sat on the sofa as they listened carefully to savanna's story. "So guys, that's what happened! That's how I was relocated to this place! It's great, right!" she asked as soon as she finished telling the story. She got no reply. They seemed to be stupefied.. "Guys!" shouted savanna as soon as she got no response. "what's wrong with all of you! Why do you seem  dumbfounded!" Finally, coming back to planet earth, Avery responded, "Did you just say, you are gonna be designing clothes for IVAN HOWEL!!!"     "Yes! Why! What's wrong?" asked savanna who didn't understand what was the issue in designing clothes for the guy. "OMG!!! Do you realize how lucky you are!!! You'll be working for IVAN HOWEL!! The most handsome guy on planet earth!! And the best part of it all, he's the son of one of the richest man in the world!! And the only heir!! He's so damn hot!! He definitely has everything that every woman wants! Oh savanna you're so lucky! You'll be seeing him more often." As soon as she finished the last statement, savanna burst out laughing. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. 'So, it was because of the guy, that they actually became stupefied?' she thought. 

Calming down, she responded, " He's just a human being just like everyone else! You're just exaggerating!" As she pushed out these words, she were still chuckling,little did she know that the guy was actually her life saver,the man she fell in love with at first sight.
