Blair had been locked up in the room for an entire day. Because Reed hadn't given any orders, the servants dared not open the door for her.
She lay on the bed for a long time in boredom. Then, she walked to the door and shouted, "Even if I'm under house arrest, you can't starve me, can you? Let me out, I want to eat!"
"Ma'am, Mr. Duncan said that you aren't allowed to leave this room. I asked the cook to prepare some food. I'll bring it to you," said Margaret.
