CHAPTER SEVEN
Love To Hatred
Ariana gazed at Raymond as he dashed into the guest bathroom of his parent's house, she didn't know what to do or say to him, Raymond was acting so strange and it was difficult to tell how he was feeling.
She stood in the same position for minutes and thought about what to do, Raymond asked her who she was like he had never met her before, he was acting like she was a total stranger and it was difficult for Ariana to bear that.
She didn't know what she did wrong, she didn't know what she did to Raymond that made him change towards her, he demanded for a divorce just a day after their marriage and he gave no reason for that.
Ariana was confused, even if she was going to get separated from Raymond later, she still wanted to know why, she wanted to know what she did wrong, she wanted Raymond to tell what she did to him to deserve a divorce.
She had been thinking about it but she couldn't tell what the problem was, she couldn't figure out why Raymond insisted on separation.
She had lived her whole life with the thought of making a happy family with Raymond, she would never do anything to jeopardize that.
She dragged her legs one after the other and entered into the bathroom Raymond was, she stopped in his front.
Raymond placed a clean white towel on his face and breath his frustration into his, one could hear his loud groan.
He pulled off the towel and gasped as he saw Ariana standing right in his front, he felt irritated and he looked at her with intense hatred.
Ariana dragged her legs and moved closer to Raymond, with the hope that he would listen to her and tell her the reason for wanting a divorce, she wanted Raymond to give her an answer, maybe there will be an explanation for what she did wrong.
"Raymond, what...what have I done wrong?," she stuttered, "Tell me why you want a divorce," she added and looked directly into his eyes.
Raymond didn't say a word to her, he knew what will happen if he tries to say anything, he knew he would have no choice than to insult her if he tries to say anything.
Raymond smiled and dipped his hands into his pockets, he said no word to her before walking pass her.
Ariana caught him as he passed by her side, she pulled him back, "Raymond, I'm talking to you," she said in a low voice, "Just give me an answer, you.."
"Who do you think you are?," Raymond cut her off, "Why should I answer someone like you?," he barked and pulled her hands off him.
He tried to walk away again but Ariana pulled him back, "Ray..."
"Get those filthy hands off me b***h," he barked as anger spread through him. He found it too harsh to have said that to her, but he wasn't sorry, he had no regret for saying that, "Don't you dare touch me with those hands again," he warned.
Ariana gave him a puzzled look, she wasn't sure if she heard him right although something kept telling her that she did, she wanted to be sure if it was her Raymond was referring to as b***h, she wanted to know if Raymond was talking to her.
She looked up at Raymond as he was quivering with anger, she was still confused as she couldn't tell what she did to Raymond. Since she met Raymond, she had lived those days trying to please him, she never for once thought about doing something bad to him.
Ariana took a deep breath before asking, "What did you just say?," she hoped that she heard wrong and Raymond didn't say that to her.
Raymond had a huge smirk on his face, he stood at akimbo, "You are nothing but a mere b***h Ariana, your...", he was cut off by a slap on his face.
Raymond held his cheek and stared at her as his resentment grew inside him like terror, the slap woke his anger.
He had never thought of being physical with her, he only wanted to torture her emotionally, he wanted her to know what it feels like to hurt someone, he had never thought of laying his hands on her, but he wouldn't give that a second thought again.
Raymond held her arm tightly and pulled her close, "You just signed a free ticket to hell Ariana," he growled, "I will make your life a hell," he added and snapped his fingers, "I will make every breath you breathe horrible," he barked, there was anger and hatred in his voice.
"Ray... Ray..mond," Ariana stuttered and they both looked into each other's eyes for minutes without saying a word, anger was pulsing through Raymond's veins, while Ariana was sad as she didn't know what she did to Raymond, she couldn't figure it out.
Raymond pulled her more close, that their chest touched, "Make sure you avoid me or you will have yourself to blame," he warned and held her arms tightly, his nails dug into her arms and she held out a groan.
"You're hurting me," she cried, "Let me go Raymond," she said in a breathless voice.
"This shouldn't be a pain to someone who knows nothing than to hurt people," he responded with a smirk and pulled her out of the bathroom, "We have to tell the whole family that we're getting a divorce", he added and pulled her into the main room.
"No Raymond, let's just sort this out please," she pleaded, but Raymond didn't listen to her, "Raymond, let's sort this out," she begged but he wouldn't listen, Ariana didn't want her parents to know about the divorce yet, she felt like they could sort things out.
Raymond pulled her to the main room and let go of her arm, he called the family together and picked up the divorce papers from where dropped it before going to the bathroom, "I have a great news for everyone," he said with a smile but it soon faded off.
"Wow," his mom exclaimed, "What news?," she asked.
"I am getting a divorce," Raymond went straight to the point, "I am getting a divorce from the evil marriage, I want to be separated from this woman," he announced.
"What are you talking about?," Ariana's mom asked, "Is this some kind of joke?. It really isn't funny," she continued.
Raymond smiled, "I'm sorry to disappoint you ma'am, but this is no joke," he responded and raised the papers up, "This is the divorce document, and it has the signature of this woman and I, we broke this marriage off," he added and put the papers in his pocket, "This is why I have come here today, I...," Raymond said and sucked in his tears, he was heartbroken and angry at the same time, "I will take my leave now," he said and rushed out of the house.
"Raymond," Ariana called as she began to feel dizzy, "Ray.. Raymond," she said again, but her voice was low and lifeless, "Ray.." she fell to the floor and passed out.
